Ft Rucker/ Pensacola area
A bunch of my buddies were talking about shooting line-X in our tubs, and after calling around I ended up getting a group rate from Truck Customs in Troy, AL (About 30 min from Rucker)
Right now we're set up to send over 4 jeeps on 27AUG09 to be sprayed in.
From the time you show up it should take around 3 hours before you can drive away.
It's $400 for a tub or a truck bed. That's $160 cheaper than any other place that I found for either Line-X or Rhinoliner. So if you were going to do it anyway, might as well get it done now and save some $$
If you can't make it by 27AUG no big deal, just let me know a good date for you and I'll get it set up.
email's the best way to get a hold of me (it comes straight to my phone)

You think they'd give the same deal to coat the inside of an XJ? Is that for just the spray and we do all the prep???

Yeah, I don't imagine it would be a problem. If you want I can give him a call to confirm.
You need to remove everything from the interior that you don't want sprayed yourself, which I've come to find is pretty standard practice.
The prep work such as sanding, degreasing or whatever they will do for you included in the $400. (they said that it was important that the prep work be done by them)
So basically I need to take out my interior? What do I do with seatbelts???

The only thing that should be left in is the drivers seat and drivers seatbelt, we'll yank those out when we get to the shop.
Are you guys taking out your dash too or are you going to cover it? Sorry for all the questions. I don't want to drive a few hours and then have way more work to do.

Dude you don't need to yank your dash for liner just cover it. Pull your drain plugs though, and bring some tape and butcher paper for covering pedals and shift boots and all that stuff. I'd prep it before you get there. go to the hobby shop and wire-wheel it out for a while and wipe it out real good. would stick better and probably save you cash.

yeah, the dash, pedals, steering wheel, drivers seat, drivers seatbelt and gear shift should be left in.
As for wire wheeling it yourself, well I suppose you can, but the guy said that he wanted his shop to do all of that work.
It's because of the warranty. line-x has a lifetime warranty, and if it's not prepped properly then it could have problems, which eventually would cause them to have to repair their work. So to avoid that they do all the sanding, cleaning, taping etc.. themselves. Even if you do it before you get there they'll do it again. And since you're already paying to have it done...

Hey cutter, send me your email add, and I'll get you my phone # so you can call and we can hash this stuff out. I feel like I have trouble explaining things with text sometimes.
Same for anyone else who may be interested.
