One of my neighbors, X-Army fellow, just bought a really nice 98 Wrangler, 4cyl, with about 135,000 + mi I think. Paid my other neighbor 3,700.00 for it. It is a really clean Jeep. Runs good, rides good. He said owner wanted 5,000.00 for it, or best offer. He offered the 3,700. Told owner, Eh, I'll give you this much, think it over, let me know, and then he started to walk home. Owner told him," Hey, where you going, let;s talk. I think they both enjoyed the haggling over price. It has a Bestop that is 2 years old, one spot of rust below passenger door. We took it out for a nice ride Tuesday. This guy is in his mid 60's now I think. He was smiling,,,, He told me he always wanted a Jeep.
