First nOOb in SC

Greetings and salutations!

I'm a retired AF pilot now living in Myrtle Beach, SC. I was involved in Just Cause and Desert Storm. I was stationed in NC, HI, and FL, and have been TDY to Europe, SE Asia, Japan, Alaska, and Central America.

I have a relatively "new" red '89 YJ. It's a 4-cyl, 5-speed, and is stock except for the 31s. I hope to paint it in a more "military" look (either OD green or camo) and trim the flares this summer. As funds allow, I want to raise it 2", get some sharper bumpers, and a real spare tire!

Had a a stopover in Rock Hill, SC enroute to SWAT school. South Carolina is an interesting state. I was talking with a buddy We stopped at his parent's house) at work today and made the comment that I did not understand why people from South Carolina insist on putting those little stickers of the trees on their vehicles when they live there, have the vehicle registered there and everyone knows they are from SC. I told him that I could see doing it if they lived outside of SC and wanted to show everyone that they were from SC, but not if you live there. Well, he did not quite understand my line of thinking and did not take too kindly to it, plus he is bigger than me, so I dropped it.
