View Full Version : The tops are down in Northern Virginia
Some of you may have had your tops down for a while, but here in Northern Virginia, the weather sucks and we finally had a few nice days in a row.
About half the jeeps I passed today had their tops off. Weather looks good for tonight, we may have rain tomorrow and Sunday is showing rain.

Dude, I saw a LOT of jeeps today. A couple Grand Cherokee's that looked freaking sweet too. Saw a couple big TJ's, XJ's, Grand's....they were everywhere.
Jen and I were walking around old town. we also saw a badass Ferrari.

I know. I waved and you did not wave back. Didn't you see the MJ sticker on the back of it?
i have been going topless for about a week plus
Tops? We don't need no steeenking Tops. :D
heh... It's pissing me off that the weather is getting so good and the blazer is out of commission right. Yesterday I grabbed a 6-pack, pulled the top off and sat right in the driveway listening to the radio with the top down in the blazer for about an hour because it was so nice out.

I burned over a half a tank of gas today just out riding around...had to stay close to work so couldn't go wheeling, but rode all day headed nowhere with the top dropped. It was perfect weather.
I didn't burn any gas, but I think I burned about $40 in buckets of beer at wings on the water, then another $120 or so at red lobster eating crab legs and lobster after the wifey picked me up.

Sure hope you had your tops on this morning around 0630.....if not, you will get that opportunity to use your drain plugs.

Then either you do not live in my neighborhood or use your Jeep as a pool. It rained so hard here today that I inherently started to gather timber and two of very kind.

that's the first real rain of the year. It's too bad it doesn't rain like that in the winter. We might've actually gotten snow.

Heck, it rains every other day here, and it usually pours. We did have the top of the 1/2 doors off today. Hey,, I purchased the Marine Force Recon tire cover that was being sold by MarineSniper in the for sale section. Wow, it is really nice. When mounted over your spare, it looks big. We took the Jeep up town this afternoon and noticed that people were not following as close as they usually do, Ha.. We took some pictures of it mounted, and as soon as I get them off the camera I'll post some.
That was a cool tire cover. I bet it looks great on the jeep.

So the wife emailed me and told me the top is off of my Jeep. Man it sucks being deployed during the good weather, but then again all the money I am saving up for part... Hey Devildog.. got a couple of projects for us... :D

We took the Jeep for a nice easy ride through the country side this afternoon. Wife was off, I didn't have to be back in until 8pm, so we went and got a burger, and drove around slowly. Didn't see many Jeeps, but a lot of motorcycles were out. When I'm out in the Jeep it seems I just drive slower than when in my truck, don't know why. Maybe it's a Jeep thing! Ha,,,,
