I would bump that oil pan skid up to the top of your list, unless you never take it off road. Also, you might be sitting a little high with another 4" of lift. I've seen quite a few JKs with a 2" lift on the 35s that look just right. Other than that, looks good.

Oh, it goes off road as soon as Halloween! I don't have any experience with Mallcrawling. I'm headed to Gilmer, TX for the next run. Red dirt gets into everything. I know the oil pan is exposed but with the lift it has some extra room. Jeep really did a much better job with the underbelly except for the most vital!!!My evap canister is also a sore spot that will be addressed. I tried relocating the evap but the hoses were too stiff.

The rocks I climb over can use this tall a lift to keep the longer JK from high-centering. Tree's Ranch is my favorite off road location and this works well there. I will also be in good standing if I go 37's but that requires more money!!!

It was in someones driveway like yours huh?

Your build looks good bro and it seems to be coming along well. We have a few guys here running about 5" of lift on their JKs with 35s. Kinda hard for people to understand when you only crawl speed bumps.:beer:

Call me crazy but if you plan on doing much with your Jeep you will not be happy with a 2" lift and 35s. You will have major problems with rubbing.

Here are a few pics of my Jeep with a 3" BDS lift. I have been very happy with the ground clearance and as you can see it fits the tires (34s) very nice. It also shows that it gets full flex with no rub front or rear. From my experience you should not need much more lift. I would recommend the belly protection though if you plan on going around any rocks.

And a 2" lift with his 1" bl would be the same 3 inches of lift that you have.
I wasn't hating on him... calm down :)

I definately was not knocking your Jeep or your choice of lift. I was just stating my opinion that some people took too personal. I do want to throw it out there that I have not seen a single 2" lift that is any more than just spacers. That being said a 2" lift in my opinion is worth as much as a paper weight. It would definately work during MALL CRAWLS.

On another note...How long you been in Temple? I know exactly what you mean with the red clay. It gets real nasty. I actually grew up in Kilgore, Tx.

I have lived in this area since 1991. Barnwell Mountain for Halloween will be my first time at this park. My wife supports my hobby and we enjoy going together with good Jeep folks. I really do like to hit the trails when I get a chance. I have learned a lot of tips from the Internet posts. I spend most of my time on a JK specific Jeep site. My trips are somewhat limited by my work schedule, but it's the work that allows me to go in the first place.

I am a high school principal so the hours are killer. I even have events on the weekend often enough. My school has a rodeo team that I attend several times a year on Sunday. We have a service in the morning then then go to the bulls, riding and roping all day! It is never boring I can tell you. I have a staff of about 100 and over 800 students so there is always something going on.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Very nice Jeep! Don't forget to relocate your smog canister so it doesn't get ripped off on a rock. Good Luck!

Pics of rear sway bar link. I needed to trim the bolts so nothing would rub during flex. I also made a bracket for my rear brake line drop. (nothing special) This was long overdue.

Warrior Hood Mount for jack:

I will say that it is a very well built mount. They put in a tube where the bolt goes through to strengthen the design. The bolts are allen heads to make a cleaner look and less available to remove than an adjustable wrench. I was surprised that the hood didn't seem that much heavier when you lift it. It is so far back on the hood it makes sense, but was still surprising considering how much the jack weighs. It took all of 10 minutes to install, so there is nothing technical. I used an extra spider ball loop to separate the handle from the jack to keep it secure and quiet. Normally I would have put my jack inside but it's a jack so if it needs some care I will take it off and hit it with some paint or oil to keep it functioning properly. I did also put a cable through the mount and jack to help keep it locked in place for someone less honest. I don't think my wiper spray will clear the mount, so I will need to get a generic sprayer at the auto store to make it reach the windshield. I might actually be able to improve the spray pattern. I don't use it much so it's not that critical to me.

Added a mirror relocate bracket built by my fellow Jeeper and friend. Thanks C.
The door opens with to OEM bracket left on. It is great for doors off driving. The holes drilled through the side allow you to tighten the bottom bolt on the window frame. My buddy realized I'm moving out of the neighborhood soon so he took the one off his Jeep. He had said he would make me one so with no time to get it done...he comes through anyway. Real friend for sure and a real Jeeper. I had some springs for sale and guess what he needed them. Sold - $0.00 Good deeds just go a long way.

Looking real good like the look of cut stock fenders planing that my self. Do you have any pictures of the custom winch plate. Like the low profile like that and Im to cheap to buy a aftermarket lol.
