remove 2 nuts (use liquid wrench or pb blaster if necessary)...remove shock...put on new shock...put on 2 nuts...repeat three more times :)
Don't cut the bands on the new ones that keep them compressed till you're ready to put them in. Something simple I should have thought of the first time I changed shocks.

if the fronts are stubborn and the top bolt won't come loose, just bend it back and forth and it will break off nicely.
Worked great when I got pissed at mine.

I like to use BFH on the front. I have never had any luck with the front wanting to loosen up.
Thanks y'all, all your points were true, it was my first shock switch out and other than the front ones being a bit of a PIA, no issues. The good news is that the upgrade worked as to solving my death-bounce. The new shocks are keeping the axels where they need to be, not bouncing all over the place...gotta love it when something you do actually fixes a problem...:beer:

Yup, I'm of the same school of thought, that if 90% of the attachment hardware came off but the last ones stuck, that damn part's comin' off if I gotta break shit to make it happen! I'll just use my 11B head-hammer!

Sounds like a DD to me. :D
Well, wasn't as successful as I initally thought...it still will shake bad if I hit a bump on the highway at 65-70mph...anyone know what it could be? Korisu, what do you think we could have changed on the re-assemble?:(

I don't think so. The only thing I can think is that your alignment got knocked off a bit when we put in bigger springs but nothing else. If you can drag your tired ass up on Saturday, we'll square it away at the show.
Couldn't make it man, sorry. I really wanted to at least swing by Miljeep's pad but stayed at the townhouse late working...gonna have it on the market this week if all goes well...
What kind of shocks did you go with? I had the dreaded "death wobble" that started on my first jeep, a 2000 Wrangler Sport. I couldn't figure it out as it only "wobbled" from 25-35 mph....finally took it in to a shop and it was a loose front end bolt somewhere!! $10 charge to fix :o Still don't know exactly which bolt, mechanic that did work was gone...........
I bought the ol' ghetto Skyjacker Nitros...I've been wondering about the bolt/nut concept, everything looks tight and right as far as my ignorant self can tell...maybe should just go torque things down a bit and see if that helps...
