OK, it seems like I am behind on this as there use to be at least two companies that offered this but I cannot find them offered any longer for a 99 TJ.
I am looking for a rear split seat (or someone that does it) for a 99 TJ that allows me to remove one of the sections and still use the other or simply fold and tumble it and pack stuff behind it.
Q'tech does sale one for a CJ and YJ but no TJ. Anyone out there know of a company? No, two bucket seats will not do either.

Couldn't a YJ seat work for you, aren't they about the same size?

Dunno about the width, but I was fairly certain that the bracketry was different. However, YJ brackets and early TJ brackets may be similar as I think they changed again in 03....just a thought. See "Disclaimer"

Well, the one in Q'tech for a YJ does not seem the kind that can remove one section which is a requirement......
Maybe this will help out..

When in doubt cut it.
Can't say a bracket it won't fit when you have access to a welder and a sawzall

I found a company that makes them, Rampage. Here is what I got in a reply to them on the features, etc. I simply cannot believe they said this....
Hello Mike,
Yes, the sections can be removed while the other one remains attached to the vehicle. That is the good news. The bad news is that mounting brackets for the TJ seats are not perfected and thus not in production. The YJ seat can be adapted to a TJ by locating and drilling your own holes.
The distributor or dealer you buy it from would determine pricing.
I sent Rampage an e-mail informing them that we put a man on the Moon in 1969!!! This is a seat bracket...how much perfection is required? Damn fools!

HAHA. Bracket not perfected. That's good shit right there, I don't care who ya are.
I put two Yj front seats in the back of my Yj a few years ago.
