Look guys - universal isn't always better. When someone buys shocks they want shocks that fit - right out of the box.

To get me by till I get my rear coil over kit I'm running 4.5" springs and Pro Comp 9000 series shocks. Problem is - I had to modify the upper tower bracket by drilling out the holes so the bolts will thread AND I had to sheer down the length of the sleeve for the lower mount.

Along with the shocks came parts for other applications which I sure saves them pennies in the long run.

Look Pro Comp, if you want to be competitive in the market you need to go the little extra mile and sell parts that work right out of the box. It shows the customer you actually care.

That sucks J, and it's good to know. I will be going to coilies in the future and have not made up my mind just yet. Whatever you end up with keep us updated on the status and document the install etc...

Might be a good idea to beef up the welds on the brackets while you are under there.... that goes for the arms etc..

I'm running Pro-Comp shocks on my 05 LJ and I don't like them. Why? they ride nice for about two or three months...then go to heck in a hand basket! It's a fairly cheap lesson learned.....you get what you pay for!!! No more 'budget' parts for me (or my dirty little girl)!

HOOYAH!!!
