You know what, today I saw and heard something that just got under my skin. I am not sure what set me off but here goes. Today I saw a woman pitch a fit because the local gas station where she got her $2 burrito was out of taco sauce.. Taco sauce.. Really?? You know what, if the worst part of your day is the local gas station didn't have taco sauce, then your day is pretty damn good. You have never had to look at the face of a young boy when he is told that his daddy won't come home from over-seas again, because this time that coward in an explosive vest took out a cafe full of innocents just to kill him and one other person because he is Amercan military. You haven't had to listen to your sister cry because her husbad was told he has treatable cancer but due to chemo, she won't be able to have kids. You haven't been down to the last $20 in your checking account when that unexpected bill comes up and its either take care of it now, or not be able to make it to work the next day. You haven't had to walk down the streets of a foreign nation and had to keep a straight face when the locals spit on you... You haven't had to bury a brother, sister, mother father or best friend. You haven't ever had to explain to a wife that she now has to raise a family alone, or seen the tears in her eyes when that folded flag is placed in her hands... So to all of my brothers and sisters out there serving with me I say raise a :beer: to those people who bitch about taco sauce, because we are the reason they have never.......

OH MY GOD. THE INJUSTICE. How could this have happened, no taco sauce. Get me an address and I will mail the last 6 packets of taco sauce from the Dining facility here on my outpost.:rolleyes: Wait a minute, HA HA, you had me going until I realized, taco sauce, on a burrito. Unfortunately this seems to be the way society is going. Most of them have no concept of what sacrifice is or what it is like to go without. When I was a kid we didn't have alot, my dad was a Coastie and mom worked odd jobs just so we could make ends meet. We always had food and a roof over our head, so what if we didn't have whatever the newest coolest toy or some other crap that didn't make a damn difference to life what-so-ever. We learned to do more with less, which is still what I do today. This also how raised my daughter. Like most kids she askes for whatever is cool at that moment and when I tell her we can't get it because we can't afford it she understands and doesn't question it.

I hate going to the store anymore. It seems like everytime I go I see some damn brat throwing a tantrum because mommy won't buy him some piece of crap, and too many parents break down and buy it just to shut the kid up. My daughter learned form an early age that extras are earned and not simply given.
