I will be departing the Washington D.C. area enroute to Fort Hood, 05 Nov. Hopefully there are a bunch of jeeps down there.

There's a few. At least there were before 5crazy and I left the area. Don't even ask to use any land on Hood to wheel. First trip there in the late 80s we used to could but no longer. Some dumb stuff about security and homeland defense or some such. If you need a realtor let me know. We used one who is unbelievable to sell our house in two weeks that another one only showed twice in 6 months. Good luck with the move.

I saw several Jeeps running around the post topless and doorless when I went there for a staff assistance visit a few months ago.

I was at Camp Swift for 6 months last year...........Its near Bastrop and Elgin 34 mins outside of Austin, God I loved Austin.........I took the Sahara and had a Ball.......on Hood several times biggest PX on the planet I think and there are a ton of jeeps. I will run down my buddy down there adn get his club info for you.........If you like hog hunting you can do a lot of it year round.........we need to have a big MJ bash before you go.......Maybe a run to the Outerbanks or something unusual.

You will be missed......

yeah, no snow. but the best part is at least i won't be the only one making that nice long trip.

The only people I know that have gone to Hood were either doing it for family, they got Command/CSM/1SG slots, or they made someone mad
