Electrical ???

I just finished up installing my Flex A Lite fans and have a quick question. I now have it hooked up to run straight off the battery, not ignition hot, and I am not sure if I want to keep it that way. Instead of running a wire to the fuse block I was thinkiing of running the relay power wire to the B+ ost on my alt. I have seen it done on other tech write up but am not 100% sold on it. Has anyone done this and did you have any problems?

I never heard of that route, but sounds like it would work. I think it would be better than running it staight off the battery (I'm assuming you are using a variable fan controller). Personally, I installed 2 extra fuse blocks (1 constant and 1 acc) and have mine fan's relays hooked to them. The fuse blocks were inexpensive and I have plenty of spots to hook other electrical accessories.

I have my relay hooked up directly to the pos terminal on the battery. Then the power for the relay is hooked up to a switched power source (i.e. the relay only gets power when the key is in the ACC position).

I thought about hooking it up to a constant power source so the fan would run when I turned the Jeep off.
