I'm sorry I missed it. Looks like one for the record books, and the weather was nice too? I'm jealous.

So Ken, did you turn into the official photo B***H?

The red Rubi is Bob's (I know it was alread answered), he's the forums Amisol sponsor. Dude is awesome, and will help out with almost eveything.

If someone can tell me how to put pics in the threads, I'll put some in here. Otherwise, check my profile in a few and look in my albums.

On another note, I had a great time today. It was awesome meeting you guys. Sorry about the tire incident. Thanks for all the help getting me back up and running and for all of the spotters I had. It was totally amazing. The weather was great and there were a great bunch of guys to hang out with. Not at all a bad way to spend the day after Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to next time.

Ok. This ain't working for me. But, feel free to go to my albums and look. There is an album called "Black Friday Run '09."

Oh & for a little smack talk, JK doesn't mean "Just Kidding" when it comes to wheeling. I can't wait to start tweaking my JK. I mean, that was a bone-stock with street tires. I can only imagine the fun I'll have with just a decent set of tires. If I get a lift and a couple more skid plates, I'll probably be really rolling. Again, I sure did have a lot of fun with you guys out there, today. It was honestly a great cure for a bad case of homesickness. This was my first Thanksgiving in the States, but away from home (Knoxville, TN). Wheeling with you guys did a lot to take my mind off all that. I appreciate it more than you know. I learned a lot out there, too.

Hopefully he'll jump on and answer my question.

The wheels are made by Hutchinson, the same company that makes the HMMWV runflats, LMTV & HEMTT bead lock wheels, etc. They have an internal dual bead lock and are called Rock Monster Wheels, just Google Rock Monster wheels to get to the approriate site. Googling Hutchinson will take you to their corporate site which has almost zero information on Rock Monster.

Though the website doesn't list them yet, they are also available in 17" x 8.5" with the 5 on 5 lug nut pattern for JKs.

The wheels work great at low tire pressures and the unexpected benefit of airing way down is a way smoother ride.

The down side to the wheels is that I have not found a regular tire shop that will touch them because they are multi piece wheels and shops cite liability/safety concerns which I think is all B.S. They just don't want to spend the hour or so it takes to break one down and put it back together again. Some 4WD shops will work on them but they charge straight time at whatever their shop rate is.

I found the craft shop on post a great place to work on the wheels but it is all manual labor with tire spoons etc., because a regular tire machine will not pop them apart.

Attached is the maintenance manual for the wheels in case you are interested in how they are constructed etc.

Yeah! The bone stock JK did very well!

At the risk of being somewhat redundant here is a link to some more photos.

Those wheels were at the Crawl For The Cure I think. They sponsored part of it. The only DOT beadlocks out there and they donated a set to raffle. Great looking wheels.

Come up any time. If you do it in the summer, maybe it could be around a camping trip or something.
