Does anyone have front u-joints that will work on my cj7 or know where I can get them over here. I was pulling a guy's BMW out of the lower part of our moter pool Yesterday and I snapped my right front u-joint. So now my rig is dead lined and that leaves me car less. If I order from states it will take 2 weeks to get here if not longer. HH6 is so pissed at me right now she can't see straight. :0)

When you say 'right front' , I', assuming you broke the axle u-joint?

On the CJ7, you can unlock the hubs, put the T-case in 2HI, and drive it without doing damage. (providing it's a stock CJ)

If you have drive hubs, instead of lock outs, you can remove the axle shaft's (inner and outer)

This will work, unless you have a full time Quadra trac Jeep.

Popping? Got both hubs unlocked and the Tcase in 2 HI?

The front shaft will sometimes still turn even in 2WD, just becuase of the gear oil in the T-case is so thick, especially when it's cold.

You can pull the axle shafts out, and re assemble the hub, and drive it in 2WD. Just sucks cause you got to pull it apart again, after you get the axle fixed:D

Unlocked and in 2wd hi and it pops so I think you are right about the oil. And I know about pulling the shaft. That is my last resort . I hate the idea of doing the work twice. Its just like the work I am doing next weekend. I have everything that has to do with the dash so I take it apart once. but if I can't get the u- joints this week then I wll take out the shaft.
