hello from the Big Rubbers Custom 4X4 Club Inc. (www.bigrubbers4x4.org (http://www.bigrubbers4x4.org/))
My name is Samuel L. Buchkovich III, i am one of the original founding members of the Big Rubbers Custom 4x4 Club Inc., that was Established in 1996 in Arkansas when i was in the USAF stationed at Little Rock Air Force base. I have made a bunch of great friends since the existence of this club and since I have been into 4x4 vehicles, whether they be off road rigs or all out show trucks. I am looking forward to forging new friendships through a sport we all enjoy and am sure all of you are also. I hope to see all of you on the trails or at a show sooner or later.
A little about the club:
When the club began in 1995, it was mostly all military members with very few civilians that wheeled all the time together. At the end of each members term of service, they all seemed to sale off their trucks. I was the last one out of active duty in 1998 and did not sale my truck, i ended up building it and relocated the club to western Pa. we are a family oriented, Pa state registered non-profit organization, We are part of the WPA4XTRAC (Western Pennsylvania 4x4 Trails Advisory Committee, www.wpa4xtrac.org (http://www.wpa4xtrac.org/)) lending a hand in the development of Rock Run Recreation Area's Off Road Vehicle sections of the park www.rockrunrecreation.com (http://www.rockrunrecreation.com/), while working with the state of Pa to have a state legal place to wheel. we just picked up the PA RALLY as our soon to be signature club event to benefit the BSA. We are headquartered in Windber Pa, which is in Western Pa, but we cover the entire state. lots of things getting ready to happen this year with our club, keep an eye out for us.
We have monthly trail rides and some shows on the schedules, if you would like to come along go to our site and let us know.
Come check us out at www.bigrubbers4x4.org (http://www.bigrubbers4x4.org/)
In the first few years in Pa the club was mostly an all show club consisting of mostly show vehicles, we all had fun going to Carlisle All Truck Nationals and a few other shows together to show off the pride in our rides.
After doing this for a few years we decided to start wheeling again like the club was originally formed to do. in our club, we have Off-Roaders, show 4x4 enthusiasts and ATVer's, We enjoy all aspects of 4x4 vehicles.
We gained status as a Pa state registered non-profit organization in Sept of 2003, and since then we have hosted car shows that have benefited the BSA (Boy Scouts of America), the mine 42 miners memorial, and the mine 42 citizens club. We have hosted Toys for Tots toy drives as well as attending numerous Toys for Tots toy drives, and we have also helped in roadside cleanup projects to help keep America beautiful. We are always looking to help the less fortunate. Most of the events we host or co-host, are for a charity of one sort or the other.
We hope to meet alot of you if not all of you somewhere, sometime.
always remember
