Well mom is 82 years old she is healthy walks about 3-5 mile a day and goes to the gym 3 or more days aweek. (shes starting to put me to shame)
Anyway awhile ago she complained to my wife about a dry patch of skin that just wouldn`t go away , cream did nothing to help moistion it. So my wife said you should go to the guy John(thats me) went to..(i had what they called pre- melino??? on my head a few years ago) anyway she went they did a biopsy and called me tuesday and said they are not sure what it is...but it is worrysome, so on her follow-up appointment which is today 4/8 they want to cut the whole thing out and sent to lab..
anyway it may be nothing but ...well youll know what I`m sayin thanks in advance...

Thanks all,
Well they think they got the whole thing it was about 3 1/2 inches by 2 inches... but also need to see what lab says....
but in taking care of this the Dr. noticed something else that he realy didn`t like and was not sure what it was so he suggested that she see a (more of) specialist in Ct. so will be taking a trip up there in about 3 weeks(thats when lab results should be back) with her to see what in the is going on

well we went to Ct. and the specialist confirmed that it is "mycosis fungoides" a type of cutaneas t-cell lymphoma. we are told its early stage and that remission rates are high at early stage. His therapy option is spot electron beam treatment of which there are not alot around , so he set us up with a doc at robert wood johnson med. center and the cancer institute of nj in new brunswick, nj about an hour drive without traffic, the big thing is to start she has to get treatment every day for 30 days.... and then eval...
so looks like I~ll be doing a bit of driving...
