So, I was perusing thru Craigslist yesterday and found a guy that was sell his YJ metal half doors for $200, which made me a bit disappointed since I was flat broke. Well today my better half called me while I was a work and asked if I still wanted them, of course I said HELL YES, why? She went on to tell me that her insurance check was $300 more than we expected (Thanks AFLAC) and I could get them as an early B-day gift. So we drove 40 miles to get them. I ended not only getting the doors, but I scored a complete YJ stock soft top and a brand new bikini top, which is now installed. But this brings up a question. Will the YJ soft top work on my CJ? The bows and rails seem quite a bit different and I don't see how the bows will attatch. If not, will the soft top work on my existing Supertop bows and hardware?

I think so. There's a guy on here that's TDY now that has a YJ top on his 83 CJ. When he gets back I'll have him jump on and spill the beans.

I think the only difference/problem with using a YJ top on the CJ is the tailgate portion. I know it's been done, but I haven't personally seen one in action.

I know one difference on his was that he had to go from snaps to the lip (dunno the name). I tried calling, but I know they're hauling horses in the middle of the night, so he might not be able to hear it in the semi.

I looked it over a litle better this morning and it does have snaps and I don't want to go drilling holes in my tub. Oh well at least I didn't pay hardly anything for it. Anyone need to buy a top?
