View Full Version : JK Upper Dash Custom Gauge Pod and GPS Mount

This is a custom gauge pod and GPS mount I built during my spare time in Iraq for the upper part of the dash. It will hold 2 Gauges and my Navigon GPS will mount to the right side. I used a factory dash piece and built a metal hood that sits on top. I then sent it to a painter in Livingston TX (Air Illusion Graphics) and he did an incredible job on it. He painted it Detonator Yellow with piles of skulls on top. I am extremely pleased with the way it turned out as there aren't many options out there for gauges in a JK. I will post some more pics once I install it but that could be a couple months I have to get out of this desert first. Here are some pictures of it during the process.

No a company called Air Illusion Graphics in Livingston TX did the air brush work.

Next time I roll up to Lake Livingston I will stop in and shake that dudes hand.

Thanks, there is a guy on e-bay now selling some pretty nice dash tops for the JK a lot like mine, he is out of Australia. He has two styles, one that accepts 4 gauges and one that accepts 2 gauges and 4 Carling switches both are running $165. A friend of mine wrote him to try to get one made like mine with 2 gauges on the left and blank on the right and he wanted to charge him $400 for a custom one which is crazy for just deleting a couple things off a CAD program but the other 2 styles are a pretty good deal. BTW your picture didn't show up on here!!
