Hey everybody since topless day my steering has started getting tight, mainly when I put it in reverse to park and turn sharpe corners. You guys think it is the pump? I checked the fluids and everything that i could see but i dont see any visiable damage or any leaks.

I'm just tossing this out there since I wasn't there (:() and can't lay eyes on your jeep..My first guess from very little information and the pics I've seen of the wheeling is that perhaps you were playing in the mud? You'll want to check for mud building up enywhere there is a steering/moving component. If you haven't already washed it...do that Now. Mud can get all sorts of places you don't realize and cause problems after even only a short time that you really don't want...

just in reverse not forward?......take it out of 4WD were not at boser wolf anymore!! seroiusly though, check the tire pressure to get that out of the way and it could be that you need to bleed your system but not likely.. if you need a hand let me know and i'll shoot on over to bamburg and we can figure this out

hey i already checked it out and the power steering pump is going. tires have good pressure and everything else looks good. it only happens when you turn it to sharp going forward or backwards.

I'd try to bleed it first.could have a leak somewhere, take the cap off and exercise the steering and see if you have any bubbles in there

thanks man i'll give it a try. Dan came over and took a look at it. If nothing helps i'll just take it by the jeep dealer and get a new pump since its still under warrenty.

At least your warranty is worth a crap in Germany... My wife's car's warranty wasn't worth a crap over there and cost me a lot of money...
