12th ABENTEUER & ALLRAD - Europe´s largest cross-country-fair

The eleventh edition of “ABENTEUER & ALLRAD” – which will take place from 3rd to 6th of June 2010 in Bad Kissingen once again – will be the beginning of a new era of “Europe’s largest cross-country-fair”.

Ten years of “ABENTEUER & ALLRAD” means ten years of successful work during which this event was able to achieve the quality-attribute “Europe’s largest cross-country-fair” and to preserve this uniqueness, too. Also the assortment of “ABENTEUER & ALLRAD” has changed in recent years.

In the beginning it were only typical cross-country-vehicles which were shown on the open exhibition-ground. But in the meanwhile the fair is dominated also by a large number of additional products and services from the fields of cross-country, travelling and caravanning. A development not only for the fair itself but also for us and our exhibitors in the meaning of achieving new visitors.

Compared with recent years the number of visitors has increased at about 15 percent more in 2009. This means a new record attendance for “ABENTEUER & ALLRAD” and a great success based also on our constant public relations.

Together with you as exhibitors, with further innovative ideas and concepts we want the new era of “ABENTEUER & ALLRAD” to become another success and a true experience for each and every visitor.

We would like to welcome you and your company to the eleventh edition of “ABENTEUER & ALLRAD” in Bad Kissingen from 3rd to 6th of June 2010.

I went to this event last year, it wasn't to bad, had a hard time finding the parking area for it. It is a great place if you are looking for tires, winches, or various other non-vehicle specific parts. They cater mostly to land rovers and the huge off road trucks. You can probably walk the whole thing in 30 minutes but it definitley gives you something to do to waste part of a day. They did have a company there called ORZ, it is out of Munich and they do Hemi conversions (If you want to pay 19,000 euros) and various other parts for a JK. I didn't see much for TJ's, XJ's, YJ's or CJ's while I was there but I am sure like everything else it changes every year and becomes a bigger event. As far as the camping is concerned, it is in the middle of an empty parking lot in the middle of the city and mostly consisted of RV's. If you plan on camping somewhere around there I would recommend looking into some local camping spots instead. The only real thing that caught my eye was the amount of American mud tires there, they had Swampers, Pit Bull, and a bunch others and it's where you want to be if you are looking for odd tires in Europe but plan to pay the European prices that go along with the tires. If you got any other questions about the event I am sure I can answer them for you. I will be going this year again probably on Friday hoping it isn't as crowded as the weekend will be.

So does this show cater to some of the Expedition type stuff? I'd be curious to see some of the European takes on roof top tents, trailers, etc... some of their engineering is top notch!
