R.I.P Paratroopers

On 31 May 2008 in Jalalabad, Afghanistan 2 of my friends from the 173rd Airborne Brigade were K.I.A SPC James Finley and PV2 Andrew Shields and 2 where W.I.A SGT Daniel Thornhill, and PV2 Kevin Kammerdine. They were hit by a car parked on the side of the road with 15 155mm Russian Mortars. it blew ther truck from one side of the road to the other and 40FT in the Air. My convoy was 10 min behind theirs so we saw the blast and felt the shock wave. We were pulling them out with MK-19 rounds cooking off around us. I was out there for 17 hours and trust me it was the worst 17 hours of my life.

The 2 that were W.I.A one lost both legs and 3rd degree burns over 60% of his body and the other one had brain matter exposed and is just now able to speak
