This ever happen to any of y'all? The top bushing (in the hoop) on my rear shock tore into chunks! I installed the shocks (Skyjacker Nitro 7000) two weeks back, everything was torqued right...any ideas why? I'm waiting on the warrenty replacement part to come, so I've got a trail fix to keep it from banging around. Split a length of bike inner-tube and wrapped the cross post and forced that back into the hoop, then ziptied both sides and reinstalled the shock, hope it'll last till the new bushing gets here!

Haven't heard of that one before but it sounds like either the bushing wasn't lubed or it was over tight. Since you said that you torqued everything, that probably isn't it. You could have just gotten an bad bushing too though. Glad to hear Skyjacker is taking care of you though.

I would have just taken the shock off.
