i did this for the sole purpose of being able to ride on my hood ...
pretty straight up install, i'm a cheap guy, so i pieced most of it tgether, between e-bay and local prpane stores i got it done.

if you have any ques. feel free to post and i'll try and answer them.

The carb setup worked good in FL... it ain't worth a damn in these hills.

kit i got off of ebay for a little less than half off...

with the evaporator hooked to the carb i get nothing.. so i brought the scout up to make sure i have vacuum... nuthing, but at least now it freezez
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v92/fdrose/propane/DSCF1539.jpg

my issue was the hose from the evaporator and the carb was to far. i don't know exact length, but mine works and it is around 12"

other than a couple things it won't be long...

of course i needed to bleed the brakes... so i used my christmas present.

then i finished up with the tank mount, i used the 3" flat stock for the underneath.

got her all timed up and she running REALLY good. i had no idea propane was 110 octane, which actually woke the stroker up.

very cool man! I've seen other complete propane kits, but (money-wise) how much do you have into all the parts?

kit was 250
some hoses and clamps 40 bucks
tanks 150 for the 3 from a local guy

so around 450 or so. which is cheaper to me than going fuel inj.

about 4-5 hours a tank.

1 tank cost me about 21.00 bucks... as of right now i can ride a good weekend on the threes tanks. which is actually cheaper than the gas tank i had.

Nice to see your wife works on the Jeep with you. :D:D

I'm just kidding it looks great, and I'll admit that 110 octane part got me thinking...

looks very interesting I must say. I had to look at your location cause I would love to run an alt fuel but I think propane has bad manners in a colder environment

i'm not sure if it does or not. maybe ask some warehouse folks if their forklifts are bugged by the cold weather.
