Posting an Introduction:
Introductions allow you to informally introduce yourself to everyone. This is like that time in a military class when everyone gets to stand up and tell everyone about themselves. Introductions also help us to weed out the spammers, because everyone here can see through the BS when someone that knows nothing about the military or jeeps tries to fudge their way through the introductions.

Keeping OPSEC in mind, some items which you could include in your intro could be:

Your location such as the state, base, country, etc..
A little info about your jeep like what model, maybe the year and any mods you have.
Info about local jeeps clubs that you may belong to.
Info about how you stumbled across Military Jeepers.
The user name/member name of the person that wrangled you into signing up.
Anything else that you may want others to know about you.

As we get to know everyone, we refer to a lot of people by their first name. So, it is up to you if you want to maybe add your real first name into the post.

Regional Discussion:
We have forums set up for different regions. This will allow members to share information more easily with others from their area. If you know of something that is going on or want to set up something in your area, just post up in your region and see how is near you.

Social Groups:
Members have the ability to start groups to help connect with others of a specific interest. The Marines have their own "Jarhead Jeepers (http://www.militaryjeepers.com/community/group.php)", Military Police have an "MP Group (http://www.militaryjeepers.com/community/group.php)", Jeepers around the Hampton Roads (http://www.militaryjeepers.com/community/group.php) are have their own, and you can set one up if you would like.

Chat Room:
We have a chat room. People are usually in chat at night and the link can be found above in the blue bar at the top of the board. You may need to login with your username and password, but it is something you can check out when you re online and bored.

Vendors Forum:
We have vendors that have paid money for the ability to showcase their products and or service. these vendors help to keep the site online by covering some of the expenses. Please check out the vendors forum (http://www.militaryjeepers.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=118). If you are a vendor and are not a member of the Vendor Program, please refrain from pushing your products or services on the board. Doing so would be unfair to those that are helping out Military Jeepers. For information about the vendor program, please send an email to webmaster@militaryjeepers.com.

Private Messages:
If you are new, chances are you do not have the ability to send or receive a private message. Post an intro and stick around a little and they will be enabled for your account. This is a measure to help protect us from spammers.

Supporter Membership Upgrade:
If you enjoy Military Jeepers and would like to help support MJ by upgrading to a Supporter Membership (http://www.militaryjeepers.com/community/payments.php?), it is less than $0.06 cents a day and you get rid of the banner ads, more private message storage space, more photo storage space and 2 Military Jeepers stickers. $0.06 cents a day may not seem like much to you, but it helps pay for the costs of the server, the software and other costs to help keep Military Jeepers online.

Terms of Use and other info:
We have a Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer (http://www.militaryjeepers.com/content/main/TOU.shtml) available for you. It is a lot of reading, but it basically says that if you come to Military Jeepers and act like an idiot, then we can delete your account. We don't need people here that just want to spam the board or want to bring trouble with them and start drama. Please remain professional. We are serious when we say that we have a one shot one kill attitude when it comes to removing problem children. One person will not wreck it for everyone.

Local Jeep clubs:
Local jeep clubs are great. Everyone is encouraged to join one and get together with more jeepers in their area. For more information about local jeep clubs, please check your state in this section (http://www.militaryjeepers.com/content/jeep_clubs/index.shtml).
