If I/we can get my GC elevated, re-shoed, bumpered, winched, armored, and maybe even locked.

I'd love to do a trip supporting WFTW.

Why limit it to just uni-body? Its an event to benfit WFTW right, seems you would want a better turn out? just my 2 cents.

I am just passing this along, trust me there is enough on mall crawlin and pirate that there will be a good turn out, plus its nice to have unibody only events from time to time

you made a comment about using a CC. Get to it, I will help with anything you need. Though finding a rear locker will be next to impossible for ya, unless you swap axles

Someone else started and is planning this ride on the other boards and they decided that it would be unibody only. Jeb is just passing the info along like he mentioned above so that those that wish to attend may do so.

Jeb, let me know what they are looking for for the sponsor stuff.

I've altered my buy list just a little bit, not going to do as much as I had planned initially and buy some things piece at a time. So the only things I'm going to try and worry about are the lift, rims and tires. Everything else is gonna be put on a back burner until I either break it or have the cash to upgrade it.

that sounds like a more moderate plan. are you still looking for just 33s or do you want to go bigger? and are you still dead set on LAs??

I know lots of guys in the ZJ area that run just 33s on a 4.5 SA kit with a little trimming and it seems 33s is the limit with stock drivetrain/powertrain

DAMN!!!
I already have plans for the weekend!

I'd love to drag out the MJ (unibody) and the XJ to that!

You have no idea how set in stone those plans are! ;)
Literally. Stone.
As in a Caving group weekend in W. Va.! We have been attending that event for nearly 20 years, and yes, it's set in limestone:D

Im gonna stay in the 32" range for a while, gas being what it currently is costing, i dont want to rob too much power. I guess i just got wrapped around the axle about a LA kit by taking info from random internet mechanics. I'm now looking at this kit: http://full-traction.com/detail.php?MODELID=5&MAKEID=1&TYPEID=1&PRODUCTID=388&NOTES=

the rear a-arm is nice but its limitations are quickly reached when talkin about lifts. It will flex like a mad man. did you look at kevins, IRO, teraflex, RE, and all them??

94GC52

Kevins goes from budget boost to 7 inches, and i dont see myself needing to go that high. Im not going to do the LA this time around. Gonna stick with a SA kit, nothing taller than 33;'s ever.

I just always have issues making a big purchase.

I'm assuming that the RE superfelx kit is bar none the best SA kit? and if it is, what shocks would go best with it?

bilstien 5150's rides like a caddy on the road and perfect valving for offroad. They are like 100 and something each. black dimonds work just as good for about 50 bucks a pop.

Maybe....:D
We are part of Franklin County Grotto.

As far as the location of Shanksville, it is where UAL Flt 93 went down on 9-11 (easiest way of explaining it)

oh ok.

lol never been in a grotto, but been out with thye loyalhanna grotto a few times.
always wanted to do O.T.R. but never had the timing right. either had the cash for gas, food etc & not the time or vice versa.

you ever hit the climbing wall? if so then you probably know my brother. he (used to) be incharge of the wall from what he's said of his time down there.

from what i understand there isn't a lot for "little" kids to do there. more of an adult "gathering spot".

lmao i measured 'em to be 28's.

but then they are kinda worn. ( they where on the jeep when i bought it over a year ago.)

In all honesty, it depends on the tire manufacturer. I've had 31s that measure out to almost 32, and 235s that come out to 28.

Even tread style matters. The heavy lug tires I have on the Better Half's XJ are really close to 30s (they are 235s) BUT the ones I have on the F/S Chevy truck are only 28s. (all the above are really cheap a$$ed tire though)
