Ok, here is the deal.... I found a deal for 2 ZJ's for $600 on CL. They are both '96's with V8's. The guy bought the one for parts, because his transmission went out. I was thinking I could pick them up, get the tranny swapped and then use some other parts for the XJ.... mainly the axles. It should have a D44 rear with 3.73's. Right now I have an 8.25 with 3.55's. I would like to regear to 4.46's, but 3.73's could do for now.

Anyway... I'm trying to get the wife on board, but she is NOT having it, so I got the bright idea of stashing them at someone else's house and not letting her know I got them until I had the ZJ running :D

Anyone around here able to help me out?

I was just frustrated last night. I really shouldn't keep them at someone else's house and not tell my wife .... hahahahaha She would KILL me if she found out. I think I just need to wear her down and frustrate her enough that she cracks and gives in like I usually do.

I wouldn't have an extra D44. I would want to keep the one from the parts GC for my XJ if it's any good.
