I think you can count me in on this one. If I go, I'm sure my OIC will probably join, and maybe another friend if he get's his Jeep plated. I'll start spreading the word.

With the amount of posts for going, a pony keg is in order I think. Ghost, should we try and put this up on the FLW site to catch more fish?

looks like a couple more MRJT guys are coming there. Should be a descent bunch of rigs.
mwjt is also having a run on the 23rd. Taking about having a $5 chili dinner that night. We could hook up with them or do our own thing.

sounds good, I'm sure some of the mrjt and mwjt people are dual memeberships. We'll be there friday night and looking for a camping spot to have a camp fire, we have a genny so power is coming with us.
We could be the first group to make it to the top of the "Mountain" and plant a MilitaryJeeper's flag and set up a defensive position!

can we get a list going for who is actually going to this? I've got the keg covered (on me) just need to know whether to get a 1/4 0r 1/2 barrel (bud light is OK I'm sure). I'll be leaving from Sullivan after work around 1530, so I'll have a tentitive Base Camp established.:beer:

I'm rounding up some Jeeps from around Scott AFB. It looks like I have 3 'for sures' and possibly 6. I know myself and one of my buddies will be camping out there that evening too.

Thinking it might be better to just BYOB on this trip after all. I did not get enough responses to justify the headache of bringing the club keg-o-rater. Besides I am leaving from work in Sullivan to make this event, and have to stay up here overnight Thursday. I have a 1430-2300 shift Thursday and have to be back at 0630 Friday. Sorry if you were looking for the keg to be there.

ok it's official I have Friday off!!! so pending when Bryan gets off work we hit Washita with some daylight left.
Thinking of camping down by the creek area, have a genny (3200w) to power up things, that way we are ble to build the "BON FIRE seen from outerspace."
Tiff you may be able to relate to this concept.
now you're talking!!!!!!!!!!!

Great weekend 5 rigs and 9 people http://photobucket.com/Washita2010, Solar was there when we pulled in, camp was set and fires built good chow cold beer all Bryan got in later. Saturday started off with Billy and Tiff showing up and we hit the trails after slaughtering some eggs. Within 10 inutes my hard top back glass shattered after the high-lift came through it, oops.
And with in 45 minutes 3 Jeeps had been stuck and recovered all was good the rest of the day until my hub or axleshaft broke and a broken shock in the back, made the crossbar look like a C. It all eneded with packing and Manning take a leak on Tim's ruck, sorry Tim it's funny.
Pulled the jeep apart, The hub looked good and the axle was perfect, so why does it not have power to the wheel?
We seen Dave but was on the limping home part, never did get to talk with his group.

Nice shots Larry, To bad we did not have some low light image capabilities.... after Tiff and Billy left, Brian ( shot gunned by Larry), and myself (with Tim and Cindy in my vehicle) went out to find the water fall. Although we did not find the water fall, we did hit a very "fun" trail as it got dark. Lets just say both of our vehicles have alot more shiny metal underneath. As far as I know there was now carnage but I still have maintenance to do today.
Check the splines on the ARB Larry. Sounds like a fun(ny) weekend. What cross bar are you talking about?

Another Great MJ weekend ! Just to filll in some details from Ghosts post, Mark and Larry rolled out about noon - to 3 ish with Bryan still hard at work. I finally get on the road about 6 and had to make a pit stop to drop off my 6. Had checked the map prior and being never been thier before, looked easy enough to find it. Started getting closer in and Mark with the texts, figured easy job. Well, after I passed the entrance and drove about 10 miles past the place, we all figured that I had to turn around and Mark with Larry would meet me at the top of the hill. If you have ever drove a 4 door vehicle and pulled an 18" trailer with jeep on it, you know that you can't just turn around in any ole driveway . . Specially at 10 at night . . Got lucky and found the end of the road and was easy enough to get turned around. Made my way back and linked up the rest of the group at the top of the hill waiting on me. We all drove back to camp, not sure if it was the alcohol that had already been drank, or the unfamiliar with his wifes vehicle, but Mark could not figure out the headlights on it so went down the hil high beam low beam high beam low beam . . . etc etc etc . . LOL going to be a great weekend. Rolled into camp with the fire rolling, most already in bed so the 3 of us tried to put a hurting on the ice cold ones that I brought in. We Did. . :) back up and at them about 7ish next morning great breakfast was had by Cindy and Andrea . . Thank You Ladies was great . . . but the cups that Ghost bought for the coffee was . . um . . . lets just say that they sux'd Plastic cup that once the coffee hit them, they were like a set of balls when they hit the cold water, they disappeared . . I think that he got the cold water cups, not the hot water ones . . LOL Couple of guys from St Louis area showed up we aired down checked maps CB's and hit the trail with Ghost in the lead. We drove every bit of 5 miuntes more like 3 when Larry takes what he thought was the trail, more like a 4' drop off thru the creek He drops into it front of jeep full of mudd back drops off and spare tire goes thru the back from his hard top . . Silence on the CB for a few minutes and Larry chims in, " Purdy gud at Breaking Glass"
ROFLOL . . rest of us went the around that spot and we spent the next 30 min picking glass up from the back of Larrys Jeep . . I think Manny, one of his dogs, got gun shy from that busting glass cause that dog didn't want to get back up in that jeep for crap the rest of the day . . . Finally, on the trail . . about 10 min into it and we come upon a nice rock climb beside the trail and Larry takes off . . Daddy needs a rear locker for Christmas . . :) so he makes it up after a lil tire smoke, looked like he had jsut won the Daytona 500 from all of it, and rest of the group climbs up . . GO GO Locked Rubi's . . Not a slip of a wheel by anyone else . . :) on up the trail we go and come up on a lil muddy area and Larry still leading the way . . after a few min of tire spill, he is on the other side . . Me in 2nd position, and being the small man of the group, I take it easy and wiggle my way around the deep spots and make it to the other side . .
Seekngod on the other hand, had different ideas . . So he plows right down the middle of the deepest soupiest part of the pit and needless to say . . after he wipped the mudd out of his teeth, had to get a lil jerk to get out of that pit . . Tiff tried a different route, less mudd, and Solar had to give him a lil jerk to get out to. We made it thru . .well, almost . . Mark pulls in behind the group as he was tail gunner and Jeep still clean so Larry plants a large hand full of mudd right in the center of his hood just so he looks like the rest of the group . . I be damned if that lil peice of mudd didn't get ole Mark stuck . . So far, 5 jeeps in the group and 3 of them had to get pulled out . . Woot, small man on the block doing good :) got past the pit and on up the hill we go, no other issues till we get to Bald Knob, top of the hill. had some lunch told some stories and got back on our way . . one thing about those trails, they are rocky . . I mean rocky . .like really rocky . . like O MY FU_ _ ING God are they rocky . . fricking insides were getting beat up from the rocks . . but we kept going . .going around the trails and Larry comes up on a Big AS_ rock and we know that he can't resist and up he goes and POW ! You heard that whole group going OOOOOOoooooooo ! ! ! but he makes it over and rest of the group follow him up . . Pull up on the other side and start assessing the situation . . . seams like the hub is broke . . all else us working so instead of working on it right thier on the trail, we just head back to camp . . no issues rest of the way besides the stock XJ poking along on the Yellow trails and 4 FJ's that held us up and they were trying not to scratch up thier vehicles . . we ALMOST made it back to Camp and remember that big ditch that Larry found first thing in the morning, well, Mark has Tim driving his, Tim being a future Jeper, found the other side ofthat ditch and topped over a hill and sunk the Solar Ruby up to the door seals in mudd and water . . .Lil tug by Broke Jeep Larry and we headed over to camp for some much needed iced cold ones to get the dust out of our throats . . ALOT of cold ones, it was really dusty . . :) Well, after setting thier and BS'n with war stories for a few hours, the subject of the water fall came up so out we go again in search of of it . . Larry was my co pilot thier time around and his 6 stayed back at the camp, Mark and his crew and out we go . . O, and one thing that I forgot to mention before, the trail markings . . what there is of them . . well, they kinda look like someone took a crayon to a peice of cardboard and lamonated both sides . . not fverry good . .so we out and about and thinking that we are about to come up on it . .and we find out that we are not actually on the trail that we thought that we were on, but actually a Red level trail . . .hhhhmmmm . . . .not sure if it was the cold ones that we had partaked in before, or the fact that Mark and I were both rolling Rubys, or both . .screw it. . lets keep going. . ao we did . . Actually a nice trail, not TO bad . .couple of tough areas that took a bit of manuvering to get around and after all day of not getting stuck . . Larry did it, I promise "love ya bro" . . he steered me right ontop of the biggest damn rock on the trail and I got high centered . . DAMN ! . . . actually, tires slipped off the rocks and I did get high centered . . didn't want to play with it to hard since the rock was hitting the front drive shaft so with a lil tug to the rear from Mark, we went on around and on our way. No other issues and we arrive at the camp. . Mark cooks up some chili jaeopenos with cheese some deer steaks and some brot wursts HOLY CRAP the next day my behind was on fire . . should have bout come ice cream . . great food great friends great times . . ate and drank till the wee hours, well, more like 10 since we are old folks and that was wee for us . . LOL . . Group discussed big trip next Sep and group consinces, MOAB . . Start your planning early Ladys and Gents ! Going to be a fun filled 8 days . . . . .
