View Full Version : Meet and Greet Ft Rucker Area
I am wanting to set up a meet and greet for the Ft Rucker and surrounding areas sometime in the future. If you are interested post on this thread or send me a PM. If there is anybody serving or prior that has a Jeep bring them along. I was thinking of having it at Beaver Lake. It has covered picnic tables and grills on site. Bring what you want to eat and drink and we can meet the people behind the Jeeps:)
Always open to suggestions.
I am new to the site but that sounds good just let me know I'm in

Glad to see you 'Bama boys getting organized down there.
Should be a good turnout, there have been around 10 new members from the Fort Rucker area lately.

There are so many people here, yet no one wants to get together...??? I say we get the jeeps all down and dirty and get em cleaned up at the woc wash. I'd bring it in as it sits and give em $50. It's for a good cause right??

No balls. I did that once for a military oriented car wash on my post. They got mad at me because I gave them 30 bucks, but I washed have the dang jeep myself.

I give the "Jeep Wave" about 20 times a day around here, ALL DIFFRENT JEEPS!! I'm sure we would have to get a big place to have our pow wow. I also like the whole take the jeeps to the WOCS car wash!!!
It would be cool to see some photos of the members and jeeps down there. If you could sneak some video of their reactions when you bring the jeeps in the wash, that could potentially be some funny stuff right there.

I give the Jeep wave alot too.
but those JK guys and women hardly ever wave back.
Oh well maybe one day i will have oodles of money to throw down on a H1 and i can snub my nose to all Jeeps

We need to get something going. I don't wash the beast, I just put a new coat of "paint" on it every day or so and I am constantly talking to someone new about trails/mud because they act somewhat interested in going, but then they are a no show. It's annoying, but I can't really blame them...yet, because a lot of people are new here and don't know about the trails. Me and bigdog are still scoping out the spots so when people do want to come along, we've got a plethora of trails/holes. :D
I have noticed that for the dozens of waves I give a day, I don't see a single yeep with mud on it...besides mine, bigdog's, and ndspeed's. I'm starting to think that people are too scared to use their equipment for what it's made for and just have it to look "tough" or "cool".

Awesome man, that is how it all starts. We have a lot of fun up here and I have become pretty good friends with people that I met at a meet and greet.
We are getting a few more responses now and getting closer to setting up a day to make it happen. I am going to SERE school from Aug 3 thru Aug 24, soon after that will be the meet and greet so post up and we will run with what we have. I am looking forward to meeting everybody. Cheers

I am pretty new to this site - today matter of fact - but wouldn't mind trying to get down there for that. i have good friends at Ft Rucker that are AF. I wouldn't mind trying to get a Jeep club together here but I am the only Montgomery Jeeper on here

I'm in let me know
Yup, time to start plastering little notes, see if anyone has time to get this done. there are so many Jeeps on this base it is ridiculous!
Thread's kinda old but I thought I throw this out there anyways. I got down here to Rucker in Oct and purchased my first jeep in Dec. Its a stock '08 4DR Rubicon. Was looking to find off road trails around here that are a good fit for it.
As for those JK guys not waiving back, I have to try not to over do it. I'm the new guy. Sadly, the chicks don't waive back at all.
PS I'm somewhat surprised that the jeepers round here haven't organized the way the bikers have. I'm up for starting an organization if anyone is interested.
well i see why now, IERW takes every ounce of energy out of ya, I know i am going to be locked up until June.
I bet it would be easier to do the Jeep club as cadre rather than as a student,
but welcome to Jeepin it is awesome!
and stay out of the mud!!!!!!
