I am thinkin about putin a 1" spacer and a 1" shackle on my XJ just for a little more but dont have the money for a SYE at this time. Should I do it or wait?

you might be able to get away with a transfercase drop for now.

Just remember that on a 1" shackle lift you will only get 1/2" of lift.

Did not know that and I already have a TC drop thats kinda why I was thinkin of waitin til I can get an SYE and just go with a new lift. But on a tight budget I was thinkin cheap ways of gettin bigger.

Do it right the first time man. I looked for cheap ways of going bigger and wasted over a grand fixing what I messed up.

I paid for a budget boost and install and then later got a 4.5 RE lift and had Pacifier and some other jeepers from Beltway help me install it. The budget boost was the money I had spent on the RE 4.5. If I had just got what I really wanted the first time, then I would not have spent that 600 so extra for the BB which is now being traded for some Corona.
