Any suggestions on what lube to use for an in line air tool oiler? I was thinking three in one oil, but my buddy suggested motor oil which seems a bit much to me.

Pneumatic tool oil! Sears, Harbour Freight, Northern, they've all got it.

I actually just remembered that option and felt like an idiot, so I ran out and got some. thanks though.

Yeah, any other oil could prove to be bad. The viscosity of anything other than pneumatic tool oil can gum up the works.
