Thanks to everyone that went on the ride this weekend

I just wanted to take a minute to tell everyone that our family had a lot of fun this weekend, and that was probably the most interesting and eventful trail ride we have ever gone on. This ride was not just a group of people that had the time off and signed up for a trail ride to take the jeep out into the woods for a day or two, it was a group of good people, friends, and that made this trip much better. Even with all the issues that popped up, everyone stuck together until the end and nobody was left behind (other than the one getting loaded on the flat bed).

I am sure that everyone will post up their side of the story about what happened to this jeep or that jeep, and I could come up with a whole list of things that happened that will make for some good drinking stories later on in life, but I would rather wait for the stories to come trickling in.

So, thank you for making what is most likely our family's last wheeling trip a fun, eventful, safe and memorable one.

Oh, If I never hear this again, I will be totally fine

And to clarify, I did not crash down the hill. I very quietly came down so as not to alarm the kids that Smokey Bear was hanging out at Castle Ryan and taking a piss on Muddy's new tires. That was one brazen bear.

Drunken snorkel testing encores, bears in the woods, and sleeping on the stone henge, crazy machete man, all stories that will carry through my life. Thank you for everything Ryan, Bernie, Andrew, Josh, Bill, Heather, Jason, Jeb, and your families. Made my last trip in VA a very memorable one.

As soon as I can figure out the picture problem, I'll post up the final resting place of my TJ.

EDIT: In case anyone from this weekend was wondering, a busted hub/bearing is what flat-lined the jeep. I lost steering control and brake pressure at 70 mph so I called it.

That group on the bank was another group of campers cheering us on all night. Still wish someone had a night vision camera of the SS Korisu on his Wolfpack Mission.

What a blast, from bears to pretzles, to constructing a camping stove, submaining jeeps, barpins and burnt clutches, wobbly wheels and a machetee weilding woodsman, that was the best and most interesting trip I have been on and have a lot of great memories.
All of you guys are awesome and I am glad we got to share that time with you.

Wreching in place, not at the garage. Jeep is not able to be moved at the moment. Last I heard it will happen sometime this week and I asked for a heads up because I have never done the bearings before. I am sure he will post when he is ready to do it.

Not sure on the status of the Jeep. She's broken :)

I will be wrenching in place, as Ryan said, she doesn't like forward or backward movement. It will be done this week. It's an easy fix, so those that want to come out are more than welcome to.

The video is 300 megs and 15 minutes long. Youtube limits their videos to 10 minutes in length. I had to go with google video, but they review all the videos before posting, so it takes a while longer until they approve it. Right now there is probably a bunch of techies at the googleplex laughing their ass off at chris.
