Patching Holes

I have a basket rack that was bolted through the hardtop. I'm getting a new basket that doesn't mount to the hardtop, does anybody know a good way to patch the holes that were drilled into the hardtop?

My guess would be Bondo Fiberglass Resin, then sand it smooth and paint it to match if desired. At least that is what I would do until someone posts a better answer. You could always use the holes to mount some additional lights or fab your own holder for a hi-lift jack or other piece of equipment like a shovel to help use up that space on the top of the jeep.
