Hey does anyone know what gears run best on my 2009 JK 4 door X. I'm thinking of either 4.88's or 5.13's. I am running some 35"s on a 4 inch lift. Manual tranny. Someone please help me...

I'm thinking 4.88's becasue i like the idea of getting back close to stock power, i'd love 5.13's for more grunt but fear i'd runn too high of RPM's even in 6th gear????

Anyone else running a Manual 4 door on a 4" lift and 35's?

Please give me your thoughts. Gracias.

Here is a good website to see where your RPM's would be. http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html

4.88's if you plan on running 70+. That's what everyone is running that I know and they are happy with it. I am saving my coin now for 4.88's.

I'm running 4:88's on my 08 2 door auto and I love it. I travel ALOT and these gears work great for me runing the highway at 70+ on 35's. They also work well off road. Just my 2c worth

My 2c the lower the gear the finer the teeth have to be, so the become weaker. If you plan on using it much off road the front d-30 with 5.13s and 35s stand a good chance of letting you walk home.

I just got 4.88s put in my '03 Rubicon, and love them. I also am running 35" tires and the 4.88s did a great job bringing everything back to near stock, maybe even a little more power. I was sold on the 5.13s for a long time and finally listined to the people who have more experience than I do and followed in suit. 5.13s would be great if your rig was not a daily driver, if it is then you will kick your self in the @$$ for going that low.
