View Full Version : MJs a joke?!?! Wtf
So I met some random dude at pep boys yesterday with a two door jk rubi. We talked for a minute about jeeps, he asked if I rolled with anyone here because he was fairly new. I started telling him about MJs and the shit we've done, blah blah. He starts laughing and says, "Idk man, I heard all they do is drink and trespass. I'm not down for that I would prefer an organized club that is fun and benefits people."
I try to be nice and defend us...he doesn't agree. And of course starts poking fun at my "little jeep" as he called it. (His jk was on 35s with 60s front and rear, no fenders). So I do the best thing I think I could have, considering I was still in uniform, and told him it was nice meeting him and gave him good luck with his new jeep friends he pays for, and left.
Sewriously, wtf. Who does stuff like that anymore

LOL WTF? I wonder who this was, or who he knows... Who knew we had a reputation for drinking and trespassing? Guess it's time to hold a charity event... :)

Wow, sounds like he met someone in one of our fan clubs. We know there are a lot of them out there... Oh well! Who needs 'em?

What a dick! I'm also curious about who would have told him that. And how are you gonna make fun of somebody else's whip? So not everybody makes millions like you do, or spends millions they don't have. You should've come back with who the F buys a brand new Rubi, only to swap axles and get rid of 75% of that extra price! Douche!

Well, it would only take 3 guesses to figure out who said it, though. Who cares. We got enough folks.

next time that happens ask what chapter of MJ he(or she) has been exposed to.. i surf the site alot and yes, there are rather rag-tag groups that that is what they do. i know the MJ chapter in AK was more or less just an anomoly but made for a decent springboard into organized clubs..
if its not the bragg chapter they were exposed to then just tell them not all chapters are the same..

No biggie. He doesn't want to come play with us, I'm not losing any sleep. I kinda like the looseness of Bragg MJ. I just don't have time to do much "organized" stu
This rag tag group of jeepers is set up perfectly. Put out the call where and when your going wheeling and if people show cool and if not thats cool to. No pressure no one bashing because you can't make it out (Except XJmatt gets some rubbing). If he made fun of your jeep then thats not the kind of dude you want to spend the weekend with wheeling anyway. I haven't met all of you yet but the ones I have wheeled with are pretty cool dudes.
I agree with everything above.... I mean we DO like to get a bit "weird", but I wouldn't have it any other way. I like our group and the occassional visitors. No one that has come out with us has rubbed me the wrong way yet. Whoever that guy is.... he can have his organized club with all their dues and sit around bashing everyone with smaller rigs.... Sounds like a blast.

That reminds me, you all owe me some dollars from encouraging me to do dumb shit and bust up my steering.

I'm sure they're not goin anywhere. And the "I need a new kayak foundation" is now open and accepting donations.
well i heard a rumor about the fort bragg chapter. First Eric wears TU-TU's Matt never shows up. John has more wrinkles then a Sherpa puppy, aries drives to fast in water and George drives like a grandma.

I actually like this idea... If you could sell enough to get what you want out of it it would totally be worth it.

Sorry to bust your bubble guys, I'm keeping my other two. I like the purpose they serve, but neither of them fit what I'm trying to do. So, enter kayak number three. :D
And Matt, I still have the canoe
alright.....what about the canoe though? I might be interested in at least borrowing that.

Nick, I like where your head's at.
Matt, I edited my post as you were typing yours. I have the canoe.
If I take the family up to the mountains over President's Day weekend can I borrow it?

Definately. I think I don't have paddles anymore though:(, just thought of that. It's got three plastic molded seats and is 17' long. Weighs about 50-60.
I'm still trying to decide on a place and not sure if I will need it or not. I guess if I do I'll have to pick up some paddles and some life vests.

Matt, check with Bragg Outdoor Rec for paddles and vests, not sure if they rent them separately or not, but worth a shot
I don't think I can get stuff from there. I'm just a POS contractor.

NC law says there has to be a pfd for all persons on board, but you don't have to wear them unless you're on the ocean. I can give you three, none will fit your big ass, and one is pink.
