FIXED!! After a month of driving and being frustrated in 4H, I ripped it apart today with a couple buddies and found out that I had put the rear gear clasp in backwards. That coulda been worse...

on a more serious note.... glad ya found the problem. Now you go through a tank of gas every two days instead of every day. I think I am rocking 10 miles per gallon myself.
