Weirding Ramp up for the First Call at Uwharrie...

Here we go!

I figured we would hold a wheeling event at the dumps for those that haven't been out in a while (myself included), and also run an initial prep for the official opener at Uwharrie sometime in April... We are getting old, collectively, and it takes a little longer to get moving! (John, especially) I know we have some folks down right now, but let's figure this thing out. If we need to work this week to get them rolling, we have time.

The purpose here is actually 2 fold. 1 is to have fun, and the other is to try and take trails we haven't really taken before out @ the dumps to see what else is there... Who knows what we might find. I am 98% sure I can get to the Axle Breaker!

Plan will be based loosely around the ones from from the last outings...

Meet up @ Sonic on Hope Mills Road again and we'll go from there!!!

Meet Up: 1000 roll out from Sonic on Hope Mills Road. 2886 Hope Mills Rd Hope Mills, NC 28348 Show up early and grab some breakfast and some meet and greet time. RTC, and I will be there between 0830 and 0900. I love me some Sonic in the morning.(As you know, RTC is no stranger to bacon and breakfast meats)

Non Jeeps are welcome. FJ's or Hummers would be great as well. John, make sure Amanda has the F-150 out there too... (So we can get photos of them getting pulled put ALL day, just like before)

FOR REAL: FJ AND HUMMERS FOLKS.... BRING THEM OUT!

If you can't be there for the entire day or you would like to partake in some part, let us know and we can plan accordingly.

If you see a Jeep on post, stop them and tell them about FB-MJ's and invite them out. I am told that asking them if they, "wanna get weird?" is not the correct approach, but invite them. If you have a guy in your unit that wheels or looks like they might want to, invite them out (regardless of what they drive). We will pull them out too!

Don't be afraid of water or mud. It won't hurt ya!

Hope to have a great turn out. Let's hope for RAIN!!!

of course Jay is organizing something for the weekend that I'm working. Hopefully I'll have the HEEP back up and on the trails for the following weekend.

Sure, I'll paint his shutters. Not so sure his Wifey will care for it, but they'll be painted!! Let's just put it this way.....I paint like George uses a 4" angle grinder......fast and furious, and there's a fair chance somebody's gonna lose a couple fingers!!!

I'm in! Hopefully the kids will be awake in time to come out, I don't know if the wife has to work or not. But if the Cherokee sells tonight I'll bring the jk out and if it doesn't, I'll wobble the Cherokee there!

Hey new to this group, but looking to really get out there this summer. I got myself and about 5 other friends with various vehicles that are all down for this, granted we get off work tomorrow before the meet up. I was just wondering about information on the "dumps" seeing as how I have never been there and also have work tomorrow right. Hope to see you all tomorrow.

Jared- yeah man I had so many people say they wanted it and just never showed up! But it did go tonight and I the guy knows about us on here so I told him I would see if he wanted to come out in the morning! He has another Cherokee so he will bring that out. But the wife does have to work so me and the kids will be there! Hope the stocker jk can make it thru the trails! Lol

IT may end up being a light day depending on who shows up... It's looking like it might be a minimal turn out so we could take a mild ride in prep for a ride in a week or two when we can drum up some more interest. We lost a few to Uwharrie's work weekend, a few to broken vehicles, and a few to vehicle improvements.

we'll see what happens, though!

We went, and had all new faces and me. had a libby, a rubi TJ, a JK, a new grand, and the Comanche of death out there thrashing the dumps like never before.

It was a good ride, but a little tame... we'll have to step it up in a couple of weeks when we hit it up again.

Only thing lost/ broken was a tail light on the libby.

Yeah, but I just watched the last 2 times and STILL got blamed for all the broken shit :D

No way can you use yesterday to ban us, because it was all new people that were just out there fartin around getting their feet wet. I'll sit out next weekend too, so we can see for real.

I picked up some goodies the other day. I got a used Rusty's gas tank skid and a D44/9" out of a '78 F-150. I need to head out to GUC tomorrow or Tuesday to talk over my plans with tank. In the meantime I need to swap in the parts XJ's front axle, so I can wheel. I'm not sure if I'll have time to do it before next weekend, so I'll probably sit that one out. I'd come out and ride along, but I don't want to bring my bad ju-ju out if I don't even get to drive.
