Ok guy's, I showed the wife the video's and pics of the trail ride and explained to her how important the disco's are:D. She gave me the go ahead to get some. That way I won't have to get on the jeep so much over the rocks because I loose traction. Well to the point, I found these: http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=8822

Anyone get a better price for some in the springs? My jeep has a 3 1/2" suspension lift on it. If so, then let me know because it would be nice to have some shortly after I return from here. Thanx brothers and sisters.

I use the quicker disconnects for my TJ http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=8815
One thing to look at is you will need to get underneath a muddy jeep and play with something caked. With these I have one point to worry about and its just sliding it on a nub an inch or 2. (thats after lining it up). Ive seen other type where you disconnect at both ends and its a bear lining up 4 spots and keeping track of the pins. Not sure how that one fits together but just keep in mind how you will put it back at the end of the day.

if you can swing it get these. http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?jeep-sid=0&plID=552&partID=8815

the quicker are just alot easier to work with and go on faster than the ones you posted.

i have used both and prefer the quicker.

I found some for a TJ:

I don't know if they will fit my YJ or not. Is there such a large difference between the sway bars? This should be something that you can afford CAV. If only you had lift.

Because of the move and everything else, I am trying to save a buck. Guess I will see. Maybe this is one of those better to ask for forgiveness than for permission times.

Wow...some assembly required for those or what? :) Almost worth paying three times the amount if the bushings are as much a pita as shock bushings...

But $50...hmm...damn you...those are tempting.

Got the disco's. Since the wife said yes, but not when, I ordered them and the big brown truck showed up yesterday and dropped them off. Now I just need to get them in and wheel.

First off, I know the purpose of sway bars (I've built the jeeta up for some street fun), but what I don't understand is why it is so crucial to keep the bar(s) installed...so much so that it is apparently worth paying money for quick disconnects  I just ripped it right off my yj and it drives just as well on the road, even better off road because it flexes now. mod = free

school me.

If it was just me, ok, no prob. But since right now I have to ride around with wife and kid in car, that little bit of extra traction during abrupt steering is nice for me. I don't want the front to lean too much which is what the sway bar helps to prevent. More lean, easier to roll. My jeep bounces enough.

Look at the Terra Flex I took of my E disc (had nothing but problems with it) They have a park post so you only pull one pin per side and you don't have to strap any thing up!
