This is how I installed mine...
PIC 1) Front fender location-be aware of the inner fender re-enforcements when locating your drilling points
PIC 2) Up high, audible and visable
PIC 3) Close-up of the mount location, damn drill bit bent while I was making the hole, and gave my fender some nice scratches...
PIC 4) Interior of the antenna mount, I had to "adjust" the mount's included backing plate to make it work here (cut it in +/- 1/2)
PIC 5) I ran the wires into the tub through the harness plug location ( I used a grounding strap just to be sure I have a great solid ground) then re-installed the plug as best as possible and used caulk to finish as well as behind the mount too. The mount is on very solidly.

Be sure to do continuity/ground tests between the antenna posts (antenna wire/ground posts) as well as the cable and the antenna post, and verify your ground. Also be sure to check your systems SWR. Great tips can be found here; http://www.firestick.com/Tech_Docs/10codepdf.htm

It is a very clean looking install and does not require the 18 or so feet of coax that it takes to run from my cb to the antenna. I like the way that he has his mounted.

...I suck at komputter stuff
I knew something was wrong with my komputter skills:confused:. I was always spelling it wrong. I'm probably worse off with komputters than you

Glad to be of help!
If you don't already have the supplies, get 'em. Be sure to have heat shrink tubing and ring end connectors for the electrical work, maybe some butt end connecters too. Alot of stores sell the assortment kit that has enough to do the job and then some. You'll most likely have to prepare the end of the antenna cable yourself. The ground is the wire wrap just inside the coax outer cover, be careful when cutting the cover off,and the center lead is your signal carrier. Cut enough of the housing back to give you room to braid the ground wire and strip the center wire, add your shrink tube (heat gun is invaluable for shrinking that stuff tight) and your ends, solder them well and seal them tightly, as you can see in my pic it all gets muddy/wet in there. Good Luck:beer::beer:

I don't get ya bro? Your TJ is normal...I think what I meant was the area where the factory bar attaches to the windshield frame...you mean your Jeep didn't come with the titanium front top bar connector, damn...:D:beer:
The "bar" that my radio is mounted too is a nice piece of 4' ?"x1"x2" red oak, which I picked so that the radio's weight wouldn't make the cross piece flex alot off road, and it doesn't. I covered the red oak with black foam pipe insulation to help protect my delicate yet empty noggin. Drilled holes at either end of the wood, and used a large stainless screw clamp through the holes and around the roll bar, tightened them down and it doesn't move at all. I've since added a clip to hold my mike cord out of the way, which in turn helps keep the mike from unclipping and busting me in the teeth. Miljeep loves to see me pull down my mike like an old trucker...

Thanks XTRM-TJ, it took me a while to get it right but so far it's working out great, first time I did something like this, but I love projects and making shit work on the fly!

Whats the deal??? I went to install the CB and I could not figure out what you were talking about with the Roll Bar up front by the windshield. Is my TJ defect? I have no roll bar by the windsheild?????????? Should this concern me?? any other suggestions?
