I'm posting because my local group is looking for new places to wheel. They are based out of CT, but have members in upstate NY, MA, NH, NJ, PA, and a few other places. We do trips out to Rausch Creek every few months, and go to MaBell MA alot too. We are willing to pay to wheel on private land (As long as the price & land are reasonable). I was checking the trail section of this site and off-road parks area, and Rausch Creek isn't even listed. This thread is also in the New England Regional discussion area. TIA for any info.

I thought they had Rausch listed.
Well depending on how far you are traveling, you have Crozet, Va which is a Members Only except on their Open Weekends. The Open Weekends are about $30/day per driver.

Greenridge (think State Park) in Maryland is free.
GWNF in Harrisonburg, Va is free as well, that's where most around the Beltway go to.
Peter's Mill / Tasker's Gap - $5 per day per vehicle per driver or $30 per year per vehicle per driver.

Far as Private Land, ya gotta hunt for those. I go to Deadman's a lot cause it's close and I do try to help him out with chores around the place when he needs it.

If I remember right, there are a lot of Logging Trails that are 'State Owned' that are legal to travel down up in Maine.

Search "delorme maps" on Amazon, and they have some of the best maps. Found several using that that have State Roads that are marked 4wd only. Makes for fun exploring.

No not really, CT is fastly becoming off-road free itself. And RI was closing trails before CT, there are a couple beaches that still offer ORV permits though I've heard.

I heard you can wheel in the pine barrens in Southern NJ. Very sandy and flat. You can check it out via google.
