First 10 minutes on the trails I blew a tire! Tore a triangular hole in the rear sidewall big enough to fit 4 fingers through. That sucked. Had to swap the tire on an uphill slope which also angled to the left. That was tough, but we made it work.
I got a lot of crap when I showed up with a stock JK to go wheeling but I was able to do EVERY trail that my group went on and took only 1 bypass all day. I really wanted to see exactly what a stock Jeep could handle and I was extremely impressed. Hell, by the end of the day I think everybody was. I don't care what anyone says, the JK's ARE REAL JEEPS!
(even the 4 doors) We did green, blue, and blue/black trails. My buddies got a monster TJ on 35's and I went everywhere he did. At the end of the day he says to me "Dude, I can't believe you came out here with a freakin grocery getter and wheeled the s#%t of that thing. I got new respect for the JK's. Just wait till you get that thing built up!"
All in all for a first time out I had a blast . I'm hooked for sure now!......:D
Notice the FLAT spare tire!

Cool! Definitely looks like Mall tires on it. Now you have an excuse to buy something else for it.
A guy near me bought one the same color with a lift and 37's. $37K price tag and he's already taking it on some crazy trails.
I bet those discos made a huge difference....huh?

Yeah, M/T tires are on the short list as well as skids and a BB. They got the job done though, I was really surprised. All in all a stock JK is pretty damn capable.

I recognize those spots - I like playing there. Good people there. usually if you mention to the hotels that you are wheeling they will cut you some slack.

Last I Remember reading the new Jeep wrangler unlimited 4-door currently holds the highest altitude climb of a stock vehicle. If I ever do convert to a wrangler, that would be the one I want :)

Do those EVER come clean?
Just looked at the pics. What a great time. Kudos to the photog!
Looks like your rig did awesome for a "low rider"!!
I always say.......just go wheel it......you'll figure out what you need as you play with it!
Looked like a great time, Jarhead!
looks fun, man i really wish mine was back on the trail, hell id be happy if it ran
Good on ya for running it stock on the trails. It will only be stock once, so you need to see what she will do in stock form. Flats are pretty standard with the basic Goodyears as the sidewalls are too weak. I've been running BFGs for 18 years (not the same set of course) and only had one cut on the trail. I am sure there are better tires out there, but I have had good luck with the BFGs and they are OK for a daily driver.

Congrats on gettin your cherry popped! Now, PLEASE, get rid of the "Soccer Mom" keychain your key is on! Hahahahaha:beer:
Keep it dirty, and go by the Stealership- they'll probably be aghast- I know they were when I brought my 4 day old 89 YJ back and it was covered in dust! We did it this weekend here in Yuma- covered in mud we went to look at a Rubicon in front of the lot on a rack.
