Didn't see a review so figured I'd post one... Brown Santa brought my Poison Spyder evap canister skid plate today! VERY sturdy. I disconnected two of the connections in the back of the canister per the instructions. After fussing with the third (vapor line) and not having any luck disconnecting it, I took another look at the pics and realized I could do the install without taking it off. Installation was a little difficult for me (took about 2 hours) since I was laying under the jeep with all of the wheels on the ground. If I'd lifted the wheels at all or taken it to the hobby shop and put it on a lift things would have gone much smoother/faster... Reconnecting the electrical connection had to be done by feel. I'm ASSuming that I did it correctly since I drove for 4 miles afterwards and didn't get any error messages (right?). Very pleased with the finished product. There is no way that canister is getting damaged as Poison Spyder completely covers it on all sides. That being said, if I could do it all over again I'd probably have installed the PS on Shelly's 4-door (lots more room to work under there and the canister is more exposed) and put the Skid Row skid on my 2-door. Either way, Poison Spyder makes a very good product and I'll never have to worry about the canister being damaged!

thanks. this is on my list of things to get. I have a JKU and do worry about damaging it while wheeling

Nice.

I picked up some evap protection a couple of years ago and would check it after a weekend of wheeling and never a scratch.... I started to wonder if it wasn't all that vulnerable after all. Since then (the last three trips actually) my evap skid has taken direct hits, no doubt each of them would have caused me trouble which would cost much more than the price of the skid.

Money and time well spent.

yeah, isn't like a $700 to replace the Evap?

I get a little nervous every time theres an obstacle on the left
