Hello All,
I need some help here, I thought this would be a very simple replacement however my lovely jeep has lulled me into believing it love me back. Well apparently not. I am trying to replace the power steering pressure line that goes from the ps pump to the box and also the return line.
my issue is that once I did get the replacement part from autozone/advanced auto the nut is the correct size however the end flange is very different, and of course does not fit.
I cannot find the return (hard) line. the parts store carries only the rubber hose. :(
so 1 can anyone help me? the Beast is an 1980 (84) CJ-7 w/ a new straight 6.
2 am I doing something wrong?
3 Are the return hard line just brake lines?
Thanks
Andy

I have a CJ with the 258 at the shop. Let me look tomorrow and see what I can find.

Andy:
I just replaced a lot of engine items couple of months ago, and one was the ps pump and lines. (Actually, stripped all the "nonsense emmissions stuff" and cleaned up the engine bay tremendously) hmmm, another big word I don't where it came from....
I had to order the return hose/pressure hose from Quadratec (1-800-745-5337).
$19.99 part #56109.02
80-83, CJ7, 4&6 cyl, 150&258.
This will work as long as your pump is for the correct year of your jeep. It has to do with the ends fitting the hose and the pump. You need to know if you have o-rings, or flare fittings.

Hope this helps:D:beer:

the return line is not pressurised, any hose the same diameter will do, well that and a couple of hose clamps........
Sorry I forgot the 30 pack of beer for the install
