How about a road trip in September? Under 4hrs away and the park comes with good reviews.
The 3rd annual "Wheelin' For The Wounded" event in Disney, OK has been set for Sept. 17. Okjeepthing and Tulsa Off-Road is hosting this event. We put up a web page for more info and even registeration, www.okwftw.org (http://www.okwftw.org/) . This year we are donating the proceeds to "The Wounded Warrior Project". If anyone wants to get more involved with this, just let me know, and Ill see what I can do.

Thanks

FYI... The OKC Chapter will be there, well at least some of us I have a job up in WI now so I won't be there, along with the OKJeepthing Club. GIJeeper is handling coordination for our Chapter and we have a thread running on it also. Get in touch with him, he is also trying to get the Ft Riley Chapter to go as well. Hopefully you guys will have a great time. I strongly recommend dedicated off road tires if you have them or can afford to get a set before you go. Disney can be a little hard on tires.

How many do you have coming to this? I am trying to setup a camping spot for all of the MILJeepers in one area. I'm looking for a number of Jeeps and a number for tents. The event coordinators are also needing shirt sizes. I'll keep you guys posted on when and where we can link up.

We are looking at this camp area, I'm thinking the Grand Cherokee spot which has more RV spots. The Riverside location is ok but it can get cramped. The local club okjeepthing will be staying at the riverside location. Both locations are very close to each other and not to far from the main area that the lunch and raffles will be held. I will be calling them tomorrow(Thursday) to check on availablity. If you guys want to stay in this area let me know. I will probably reserve about 3 to 4 slots all together which should leave plenty of room for tents and parking.

Sounds good to me we're the only rv coming from here rest are those tent people, lol.
Are the RV lots big enough to put a few tents around or even allowed, and then the extra tow rigs and jeeps?

We will have the only RV from our group too (33ft C+ and an 18ft car hauler). The Grand Cherokee site has pull through sites so that should be good for us RV'ers and I plan on getting an additional site or two for the tents and truck/trailers. When we where there for BMR, there where tents everywhere and everyone parked their truck/trailers anywhere they could find a spot.

So you guys have 1 Truck camper/trailer and 4 tents? How many tow rigs do you have? I'm assuming you need an electric hookup for the Camper.

Ok guys, I have 3 pull through sites reserved for us. They are at the Grand Cherokee location. The manager said that there should be plenty of room for parking the tow rigs. Below is the map, we should be in sometime around 8pm, if you guys make it before we do all I need is one pull though site for the RV. I placed a red star on our campsite and a yellow star on Hogan's. I'll have the site numbers tomorrow and will post those up.

The sites are paid for, we have 3,4, and 5. They are towards the back of the park. The manager said they are near the restrooms. She called while I was in an OPSEC class so I forgot to ask about the restrictions but I'll try to call her back tomorrow.

No, was not all of it, but we only seen 1 sign marking a trail and it looked like someone thru up a board and wrote on it with a black marker. The maps that you had to purchase were a bandana and didn't really reflect the trails very well. We took an extended view of the hardballs around the park at very slow speeds since we were all air'd down and disconnected. . lol
