I want to invite all MJ's to not only a M&G but a great Jeep Show.

Mark your calendar for September 20th. Location Harleysville, PA at Jeff Daniels Jeep. Show is free. I recommend that you log onto their web site and down load the Registration form (pdf) it must be mailed or faxed back to them by 9/17/08. Below are the different categories for entry. On a lighter note I highly recommend all Jarhead Jeepers register for category "G".

Don't forget to have your MJ stickers on your rig. In addition I am looking to get Jeff daniels Jeep to become a vendor sponsor of MJ.

Categories:
A. CJ-5 Class (1955-83) Limited Open Class for all CJ-5s.
B. CJ-7 Class (1976-1986) Limited Open Class for all CJ-7s
C. CJ-8 Class (1981-1985) Limited Open Class for all CJ-8s.
D. Vintage & Rare Class (1941 to 1981) Limited Open Class for all Early CJ's (2a, 3a, and 3b), Military, DJ (dispatcher), CJ-6, CJ-10, Jeepster, Commando, and FC (Forward Control) Jeeps
E. "Restored and Maintained Original Class" (1941-1992) This is the TRUE Stock Class. LIMITED Open Class for all Jeeps that fall under the Pennsylvania Classic or Antique Motor Vehicle definition, "a motor vehicle, but not a reproduction thereof, manufactured at least 15 years prior to the current year which has been maintained in or restored to a condition which is substantially in conformity with manufacturer specifications and appearance." These Jeeps should have NO MAJOR MODIFICATIONS and judging will be based on the LIMITED number of minor modifications. Photos and documentation are encouraged.
F. "Resto-Modified Class" (1941-1992) Limited Open Class for the Jeep that has been restored and modified with new technology but still maintains the classic look and feel of a restored jeep. Photos and documentation are encouraged.
G. "Girl's Jeep Class" Open Class for all types of jeeps. This class is for the women. These jeeps are owned, operated, worked on and/or built by women.
H. "Adventure Jeep Class" Open Class for any and all jeeps. We are looking for the most equipped jeep for any adventure. From off-roading to fishing to kayaking or where ever the trail may take you, this jeep is built to take you there and back again.
I. "Extreme Modification Class" Open Class for all non-street legal or barely street legal jeeps (owner's choice to enter if barely street legal). Whether your Jeep was built for the rocks of Moab , the bogs of the Pine Barrens , or pulling neck snapping quarter miles this class is for you!
J. YJ Wrangler Stock Class (1987-1995) Limited Open class for all YJ Wranglers (No suspension, driveline, or body modifications are permitted).
K. YJ Wrangler Modified Class (1987-1995) Limited Open class for all YJ Wranglers with unlimited modifications. Jeep must be street legal.
L. TJ Wrangler Stock Class(1997-2006) Limited Open class for all TJ and LJ Wranglers (No suspension, driveline, or body modifications are permitted).
M. TJ Wrangler Modified Class (1997-2006) Limited Open class for all TJ and LJ Wranglers with unlimited modifications. Jeep must be street legal.
N. JK Wrangler Stock Class (2007-present) Limited Open class for all JK Wranglers (No suspension, driveline, or body modifications are permitted).
O. JK Wrangler Modified Class (2007-present) Limited Open class for all JK Wranglers with unlimited modifications. Jeep must be street legal.
P. Full-Sized Jeep Class (1963-1991) Limited Open Class for all Full-Sized Jeeps (FSJ J-trucks, Gladiator, Early Cherokee, Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer and Honcho Pick-up).
Q. Cherokee Class (1984-2001) Limited Open Class for all XJ Cherokees and MJ Comanches.
R. Grand Cherokee Class (1991-present) Limited Open Class for all WJ, ZJ, or WK Grand Cherokees.
S. KJ Liberty Class (2002-present) Limited Open Class for all KJ Libertys
T. Crossover Class Open Class for jeeps with a focus on the daily commute. This class will include but is not limited to the Commander, Compass and Patriot.
Specialty Categories:

Furthest Traveled Jeep.
Peoples Choice: Best of show.
Peoples Choice: Best of show - Runner-up.

Do I detect some hostility towards me over a little bantering:eek:. If I have in any way offended any of those who have served so honorably in such a prestigious branch of the Military as the USMC then I humbly apologize. It is my own short comings that somehow force me to send little quips out to those whom I should be idolizing.... I most humbly beg your forgiveness! Oh by the way does the "G" in Grunt stand for "G" Spot which would go along with why I felt category "G" was appropriate..:D:D

Again all in fun.....after all I am running a plain old stock TJ. Only mod I have is 30" tires and they are AT!:eek:LOL

Personally, I think MORE Jeep shows should have a "G" Class ("grrls")...

grrls and grunt, hmmmm, they have the same amount of letters, did ya notice?! :rolleyes:

Gonna try and get there again this year, but I have to work around something important that same weekend....look for my MJ.COM stuff!

I am going to try to make it, but I get back from school the day before and my wife may be giving birth on or around that date, so I am not 100% sure right now.

I am definately looking to see how much interest I can generate on this Jeep Show. I am looking to get Jeff Daniels Jeep to become a sponsor vendor for the MJ website. I know they do offer I believe a 10% discount on service for Military. So all kidding aside, please check your calendars and let me know if you are able or possibly able to make it.

As a memeber of the ANG does that mean you were offering me an official invitation;). I'll have to think about it. Only accustomed to getting these sort of invites from Marines.....:D But Hey if I do say no TEXAIRMAN just had a manicure and a pedicure....I'm sure he's available.......LOL

Pretty Good three with one stone!!!!! I guess I'd better be careful, don't have a glass house but I have glass in my house..... All in fun and I can take it........

Anyone coming up either the night before or staying the night of and needs a place to stay let me know. Don't have room at my place but my better half can make group arrangements someplace locally. She handles a lot of corporate arrangements like that for her company.

I received an email from Jeff Daniels on the schedule of events for the day. I will post a little closer to the actual day of the event so everyone can plan accordingly.

Anyone coming up and spending the night....If I can get a big enough list together of CONFIRMED you are coming. And you want a room, Shoot me a PM with the dates i.e. Friday night or Saturday night or both. My wife does all this stuff for her company. I can get rates and let everyone know so they can decide if they want the rate she gets or try and get thier own rooms. Then she can book everyone together. Might save some $$$$. Again shoot me a PM.

I also want to know how many MJ's are going to be there so I can let Jeff and Dan from JeffDanielsJeep know to further my endeavors to get them as a sponsor for MJ. I want to make as big a showing as possible. Plus it is a great day......

Anyone needing their rig painted they let the kids do finger painting on a Jeep, maybe you can volunteer yours then you'd only need a clear coat put on.....LOL:D

Also - Rausch Creek is about 1.5 from show so maybe with enough interest Sunday could be a M&G at Rausch Creek. Again shoot me a PM on this one as well.....

Do we have a list of who's going? I'm going to send out my contact info for those of you who are solid's. I want to make sure I meet some folks up there. Since I'll be going up there solo, I'd like to park close to someone from here. At the Adam's Jeep event, I was solo parked. Nowhere near as fun as hanging out with others.

I am going to send out a final M&G this week to get a count. As far as being near fellow MJ'ers the layout is by what category you sign up for. Don't worry I will make sure that Jeff Daniels makes an announcement as a way for all of us to get together. Don't forget to have your MJ stickers on your rigs. Another great way to spot each other. I' will be in the TJ stock class and you can't miss mine. She'll have a 3X5 Flag on the back and my PA Plate # is "USN JEEP".
