Well guys I was in the market for a Weld in Coilover system and The guys at Tribe 4X4 came through. I went form the Bolt on Coilover mounts to these so the teardown was very simple. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/hs026.snc6/165612_167819063264066_126283127417660_340880_7313434_n.jpg Once the old setup was removed. I found a good sawzall and a few good blades yeilded the best results to remove the factory mounts. ALWAYS CHECK CLEARANCE WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO CUT. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2745.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2746.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2747.jpg Here are some shots of the frame rails and axle all cleaned up http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2748.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2749.jpg This is the pile of scrap that you will have when your finished.... http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2753.jpg

Here is the initial fit of the towers. They fit almost perfect, just needed a quick kiss with the grinder on the rear edge to get them flush on the frame rail. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2752.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2751.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2750.jpg The lower mounts were welded on after the test fit with everything tacked in place and the suspension cycled a few times. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2759.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2765.jpg And here are some photos of the towers all burned in. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2761.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2760.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/Tribe%20Coilovers/100_2757.jpg

*Update* OK so I finally got around to installing the front bumpstops.... The biggest issue I ran into was finding a place to mount the resis.... I ordered the poly resi mounts but once i tacked them in place the sway bar hit the resis so that was a waste of $50 bucks..... I used some 2x4x.120 for the standoffs fully welded inside and out for the bump cans... Im pretty happy with how it came out .... https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/291796_10150316840703229_578658228_8108466_602928136_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/291819_10150316815293229_578658228_8108333_2070607576_n.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/86233cc5.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/6edfd164.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/b15da710.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/333f6729.jpg?t=1317351047 http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/163f5ab9.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/szmartin7401/d3f0d070.jpg

what kind of welder are you using? id also sway away from the welding technique you are using of several tacks in a row. itll prolly hold but i wouldnt do it on link tabs or anything like that.
