I think I have done all the searching for a transmission that I am going to do. I have decide to have my OEM transmission rebuilt at a cost $1000.00.

Thank you for all that gave advice or helped out.

I should have it back a week from Wed. and ready to roll. They are going to change out the rear seal for me as well.

WOOOOHOOOO

That is some dough. Good luck with that. Too bad you cannot get a chiltons or something and try to do it yourself first to save the money. If I had any clue what I was doing, I would try to help.

Auto tranny? $1000 is a good price. Mydad had his auto in is '95 Dodge 2500 just done, $2800 for it. 4X4's are always a bit more on the labor, some are a real pain to drop. Good Luck!

might be cheaper if you pull it and take it to them

I will try my hand at an engine but no way am I am opening up a transmission. "Why do I have parts left over" is never a good thing to say with so many small parts.

Ken is giving me a 6 month 6000 mile guarantee but he comes with good referrals from other jeepers in the area. I feel comfortable that I will have a sound transmission. With a junk yard trans, you are not sure what you are getting.
