Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Starts Up For 2011 September 27, 2011 9:26 AM Contact BlueRibbon Coalition POCATELLO, ID (September 27) --The kick-off time for the 2011 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is upon us. For military personnel and government employees, this is an opportunity to contribute to the causes they love and believe in. As it has been since 2009, the BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC) is listed as 11402 under National/ International Independent Organizations for charitable donations. Thanks to CFC, it's easy for employees of participating federal agencies to donate. If you currently serve in the military or are a federal employee, and you believe in BRC's mission of preserving recreational access to public lands and promoting safe and responsible use of those lands, the CFC is the easy way to support. It is only with the help of our generous contributors that we can continue with our vital mission each year. For nearly a quarter of a century, the BlueRibbon Coalition has promoted responsible use and stewardship of our public lands. Nationally recognized as the premier grassroots organization working to keep public lands open to all types of recreation, BRC is a powerful advocate in educating the American public. Brian Hawthorne, BRC PublicLands Policy Director, noted that, "We empower our members to be meaningfully involved to help keep all forms of recreation alive and well, while taking care of our environment. Our mission--to preserve access for all--is more than a passion; it's a promise." For readers not familiar with the CFC, their mission is "to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all." Through the CFC, pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits. The campaign is the only authorized solicitation of employees in the Federal workplace on behalf of charitable organizations. Our eligibility listing in the Combined Federal Campaign will make it much easier for employees of participating federal agencies to donate to the BRC. All Federal employees, including military personnel, receive the Charity List for CFC, and BRC will be listed as: 11402 BlueRibbon Coalition. The ability to donate through the CFC is just one more way that members who are federal employees can now support the BlueRibbon Coalition. Continuing to meet the stringent criteria of the Combined Federal Campaign is a clear indicator that our commitment to hard work and efficient use of resources is what the BlueRibbon Coalition is all about. If you are an employee of the U.S. government in any capacity, please take a moment to add us to your CFC contributions this year. Help us protect your access! We would also like to take this opportunity to thank those individuals who are already supporting us through the CFC. We are working hard to make sure your contributions make a difference. Thank you. # # # The BlueRibbon Coalition is a national recreation group that champions responsible recreation, and encourages individual environmental stewardship. With members in all 50 states, BRC is focused on building enthusiast involvement with organizational efforts through membership, outreach, education, and collaboration among recreationists. 1-800-BLUERIB -www.sharetrails.org.
