We are holding a toy drive for 200 children and 5 families from the WWB @ Ft. Hood.
I am sending a schedule of events. We are in need of Monetary donations and New toys from now until Dec. 3.

Wheelers for Wounded Purple Santa Event Sunday, December 11, 2011
Group 1 (2 companies) 1300-1500
Group 2 (2 companies) 1500-1700
Location: Delta Company Footprint Quad, Bldg's 341, 351, and 353, grassy area on east side of complex
Alternate Location: Horse Detachment Arena and Farrier Shop (Will need a write up of event from Battalion for approval)
Resources Provided: - Female Rock Band (WFTW), 4 Shetland knee high ponies (WFTW)
Supplies for Adult and Children's activities (W4W, FRG), Decorations (FRG)
Purple Santa (Order of the Purple Heart), Gifts for 200 and packages 5 of the
neediest families (WFTW), drinks and hot dogs (FSRA/USO), more to come
Contingency: - In case of bad weather tents with side walls are available at E.C.O.C. They cannot
be set up on concrete. Will need digging permit from DPW. WFTW has offered to
pay for tent if the need arises. Tent will need to be reserved in October but can be
cancelled and deposit refunded 14 days prior to event.
Other Factors: - Gate access for ponies is authorized through Director Betty Allen.
- Event Committee is pending.
- John Collins and Shawlyn Fraughton (Board members) will tour the sites and meet the
Command Team and Committee Members.
- 3 Corps Community Relations Officer Steven Moore is tracking event
We are expecting approximately 500-600 people at this time. This number may increase.
