Just wanted to put this out there...the Central Alabama Off Road Society is hosting an event in October at Grayrock ORV Park. It'll take place 24 to 26 OCT. You can find more information at www.caos4x4.com (http://www.caos4x4.com). Last year Crawl Magazine covered this event. I recently moved to Alabama so have never attended it but have wheeled with the CAOS crew. Let me know if you plan to attend and we can link up. More information will be on www.***************** (http://www.*****************).

If you don't know, Grayrock ORV Park is located just north of Birmingham. I'm in Prattville so drop me a line if you'd like to go.

Do they have some decent trails for the more stock rigs or some bypasses? I've got a '79 CJ7 with 2.5" of lift and 31"s.
Thanks!

There are (were) bypassed for near stock rigs the last time I was there, but that was a year ago. I can't imagine why they would have done away with them, but check with the park to be sure. http://www.grayrockorv.com/
Cheers!

I've read somewhere that there are bypasses but have never been there. I can't confirm the trails or bypasses. I'm pretty sure there is something for everyone. If you are thinking about it you should go. So far there will be two that I know of from Maxwell AFB in Montgomery. We will be camping and we're always good for a cold beer. Stop by if you go. I'll be in the red CJ5 and the other guy will be in a dark blue CJ7. My license plate is ABNSIGO if you see me on the trail.

There are bypasses. We go every year. We actually have the park reserve in a couple of weeks. You will love it as long as it doesnt rain....Abnsigo, there is another park not far from you, which in my opinion is a better park. Its called Morris Mountain. Randy and Kris Morris are great people and they are doing a great job with the place..

Yeah, I went to Morris Mountain a few weeks ago for the March of Dimes ride. It seemed like a pretty nice park. I rode shotgun with a friend since my Jeep was not back together. I've almost got it put back together and am looking forward to the Fall for All. I'll be hitting Morris Mountain after the FFA. Gotta get it back together first though.

Thanks all for the info - and sorry for the late reply. I've been on the road for two weeks now and just got home. I think I'll plan on going and will keep a lookout for your rigs. I'm a forrest green CJ7 with Spice top / interior. Haven't a clue of my tag # - need to go look!
Thanks again
