I think we need to get all three threads set up so we don't confuse folks...The Colorado Springs MJ Clubis already starting to work on the plans for Camp MJ Rocky Mountain as well.

How about Rousch Creek or GWNF for Camp MJ East ?

RC is something me and my group can shoot for. I haven't been since they opened up the other side of the road and added all the new trails, but I have heard it's pretty nice and more than enough to fill an entire weekend with wheeling.

Couldn't make it to CMJ'11 due to time, money, and distance/drive time, CMJ'10 I was sitting in Baghdad... Bah!

I will try to do some type of poll soon to see where the majority of folks want to have it..

I want to try to make it out too. It's been bad timing the last couple years. I hope this time it works. I have yet to make it to RC or Big Dogs so I was jacked to miss them.

jeepinjp

no we can still look at that but it will depend on where we have it....
but when we get that worked out, are you volunteering ???

i have made 2 of the three cmj The first was arranged by bucket of karma and others and was a blast. rauchcreek is the best location so far and would be my choice. Bigdogs is just to expensive for a larger family $30 a day camping fee weather you camp or not then you have the park entrence on top of that. George washington national forest was a great spot but since they have closed dry run you might as well go drive a dirtroad in the country and call it ofroading. Rauch creek sees to be the spot that is central to most and has the right stuff for all level of wheelers. UNwherri would probably be to far for most of the ny pa ct ma people but would work for the south its only a hour or 2 farther for me and i would like to check it out but it will brobably be a smaller group of people that could show

Have you looked into the Tennessee Mountains. I know they are planning a Jeep Jamboree there and I think that would be a Great spot to hold the Camp MJ 2012. the last two have been in and above VA time to move it a little closer to the Southern Folks. Uwhari is a good choice also. I know I drove almost 6 hours to get there last year. and that took a huge toll on us. RC was great also (would have been better if I had my own Jeep there) lol but RC is over 10 hours from me.

Let me know what you all think.

Yea that may be an option as I have been working with them for the last 2 years, my club and I were there 12/11 cutting trails....

OK sorry it so long ,but i was waiting for some guys to get back to me . I got a package from U.S.Dept. of Agriculture(G.W.J.N.F.).They have a few trails Peters Mill Run is one of them. All are $5per day,$12 for 3day pass,$30annual .
Some clubs i talk with say mostly dirt trails not to many obstacles maybe like greens at R.C. They have camping and Campfires all under enforce FED. REG.
Rausch Creek has different trails green, blues, black, purple, and red plus camping and hotels, restaurants, gas stations 10mins. away.
