Ok, here goes.

I am going to get the Old Man Emu 2.5 Lift Kit here in the next month or so.

http://www.quadratec.com/products/16090_000.htm

I am probably going to purchase from Quadratec unless someone knows where I can get it cheaper.

I would like to do another 2-3 inches of body lift to clear for eventual 33's. Is there anything else I need to purchase along with this? Disconnects? Transfer case drop kit? Bushing kit?

Thanks for any and all help.

And she clears 33's.

I would buy a lift that will clear 33's now. Bite the bullet and get what you need....dont ask me how I know

Same here. Had a 3" BL to clear 33's. Waste of money, cause I wound up doing it all over again with suspension and 1" BL.

I also used a vendor from jeepforum. DC4WD.com He gave me a good price and had fast service.

OME is pricey, I've heard they ride nice, but that kit doesn't even come with U-bolts.

I went with the Black Diamond 3'', came with shocks, bushings and U-bolts. And was $450 (2 years ago)

I would advise not going more than 1'' on the body lift.

There's alot to mess with going more than 1'', steering shaft, brake lines (from master cyl. to frame) shifter hitting the hole in the cover, T-case linkage.

Over 1'' can cuase the body to shift, and possibly shear the mount bolts.

And (in my opinion) anything bigger than 1'' looks funny.

I'm running 33x12.5 Maxxis Bighorns on 15'' wheels, with a 3 inch spring and 1'' body lift. Normal driving and hunting trails are fine, serious flexxing and I get some rub. Here's a couple of my rig at full stuff:

And sitting flat:

Kind of give you an idea of where 33's sit with 4'' total lift.
My buddy has the same lift on his CJ, and is running 34x10.5 LTB's, he has some rubbing issues also, but the narrower tire fit's inside the wheel openings better. HB

if you know you never want to go bigger than 33 then go ahead a get set up for that but if you have the smallest thaught about going bigger down the road then do it right the first time like chris said you don't want to do it twice cause it gets pricey
